BIN Synergizes with Various Parties to Ensure the Safe and Smooth Running of WWF 10 Bali
Bali – Representative of BIN Bali, Colonel Agus, said that his party was ready to work together to make the 10th WWF Summit in Bali a success, together with various parties, including the State Electricity Company (PLN), to ensure the smooth supply of electricity during the WWF in Bali, ensuring that everything was well and safely supplied.
This was expressed by the Bali Regional BIN representative, Colonel Agus, during a limited meeting with PT. PLN (Persero) Bali discussing preparations to welcome a series of WWF activities on 18 – 25 May 2024 in Denpasar Bali.
“With good and safe electricity supply, it is hoped that the 10th WWF in Bali can run smoothly and successfully,” said Agus.
Meanwhile, on the same occasion the General Manager, I Wayan Udayana, said that currently the State Electricity Company’s preparations had reached an average of more than 47 percent and he emphasized that he would complete preparations up to 100 percent in the first week of May.
PT PLN (Persero) is currently ensuring preparations for the control of electricity supply for the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) Summit in 2024 in Bali. It is hoped that these preparations will be 100 percent complete in early May, he concluded.
“Every meeting held by regional leaders is generally always reported to the Head of BIN and the Director of PLN, so cooperation to exchange information through this memorandum of understanding is necessary,” he said.
Furthermore, I Wayan Udayana explained that Bali is an important region, especially because it often hosts various international scale events and is a showcase for Indonesia. For this reason, this requires electrical reliability as well as electrical risks from generation, transmission, distribution and the availability of supporting infrastructure for electric vehicles.
“In terms of readiness, PLN has made several efforts, including in terms of primary energy and generation, we ensure that the Power Plant Operation Day is in adequate and safe condition,” he added.
Several points that are the focus of security are Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) as the gala dinner venue, Bali International Convention Center (BICC) as the opening venue, Bali Turtle Island Development (BTID), Ngurah Rai Forest Park Area (Tahura), Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), The Meru Hotel and 15 hotels to stay at ITDC.
Apart from that, PLN is also preparing electric vehicle (EV) charging with details of 12 Ultra Fast Charging (UFC) Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU), 26 Standard Charging (SC) SPKLU and 20 SPLU units.
For your information, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has also been signed between PLN and BIN. The MoU concerns the supervision of the electricity sector, especially to ensure the reliability of electricity supply with a good communication network at the regional level in Bali. []
