Producing Quality Intelligence Officers, Budi Gunawan Makes BIN a World Class Intelligence Organization
Sentul – Head of the State Intelligence Agency, Police General (ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, S.H., M.Sc., Ph.D., said that intelligence officers must have high quality in order to be able to follow global geopolitical developments so that the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) can become a World Class Intelligence Organization.
BIN Head Budi Gunawan officially inaugurated cadets who had completed their education at the State Intelligence College (STIN), in the State Intelligence Officer Inauguration Ceremony in Sentul, Wednesday, 7/31/2024. The Intelligence Officer Inauguration Ceremony took place at the Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, M.Sc., Ph.D. Stadium, STIN Campus, which was attended by BIN’s main officials and invited guests from various circles.
“You Young Intelligence Officers are leaders who must be role models in words and actions, uphold ethics and always be at the forefront in every struggle for the nation and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia that we love,” said the Head of BIN.
In addition, according to the Head of BIN, Police General. (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, S.H., M.Sc., Ph.D., the Young Intelligence Officers who have been provided with four years of Education must be able to develop themselves.
“All Intelligence Officers and STIN cadets must continue to develop their abilities to remain relevant to the development of the challenges of the times, adaptive, able to provide assessments, predictions and quick responses to every threat and able to collaborate with various parties wherever you are assigned,” said the Head of BIN.
For information, the State Intelligence Officer Prasetia ceremony is a moment for the Cadets to take an oath and promise of loyalty to serve the country as a form of their commitment to becoming an intelligence person.
On the same occasion, the series of events also included the handover of the International Accreditation Certificate from ACQUIN (The Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute). This confirms the record that the Head of BIN, Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, S.H., M.Sc., Ph.D., is committed to improving the quality and facilities of education in order to produce competent BIN personnel.
“We should be proud, thanks to the hard work of the STIN Team, we have succeeded in fulfilling various documents and requirements to obtain international accreditation from ACQUIN,” said the Head of BIN.
Meanwhile, in the same series, the Head of BIN also inaugurated the modernization of the State Intelligence Agency Education and Training Center, the handover of appreciation to the Jakarta BIN Women’s Volleyball Team which has succeeded in becoming the 1st place winner of the Women’s Volleyball Pro League in 2024 and PORBIN athletes who have achieved, as well as the symbolic handover of BIN operational mobility facilities at the State Intelligence College (STIN).
“Thank you and proud to the Governor of STIN, educators, lecturers, trainers, caregivers, and all levels of STIN for their dedication in educating, training, and producing tough state intelligence officers,” concluded the Head of BIN.
