Papua is an integral and inseparable part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, therefore, the Government invites active involvement of local Papuan indigenous people in all development efforts in the region nicknamed Bumi Cenderawasih.

Because with the active involvement of all local Papuan natives, this increasingly indicates that the Papua region is truly an integral part of the Republic of Indonesia which cannot be separated at all.

Because Papua is one unit and an integral and inseparable part of the Republic of Indonesia, the Government continues to call and invite all local residents of indigenous Papuans so that they contribute and are actively involved in regional development efforts.

The Chief Expert of Deputy V of the Presidential Staff Office, Theofransus Litaay emphasized that so far the Government continues to take various steps and strategies in an effort to meet the needs of the nation’s next generation so that they receive holistic and integrative attention, both from the Central Government and the local Regional Government .

So far, all the development carried out by the Government in Papua, especially during the leadership of President Jokowi, has been able to become a legacy that is not only a representation, but can have a very significant impact on various aspects of life of the indigenous Papuan community.

Some of the developments that have been successfully implemented and proven to have brought many benefits to the local community are in the infrastructure sector such as the Papua PON, Youtefa Bridge and the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea Border Crossing Post.

In terms of building Bumi Cenderawasih, the Government really understands that this effort must really be able to touch the local community directly, therefore there is also a need for encouragement from the Papuan people, including the local government.

In fact, the government through the KSP has its own program for Papua, namely to continue listening to what the community has to say and complain about, which includes inviting various elements such as from indigenous communities, academics, scholarship recipients, creative youth communities and so on.

Through this program, the government really wants to listen to all the impacts that the OAP community has felt on government policies so far, because currently Indonesia is continuing to move towards globalization with various challenges ahead, so that development efforts that truly have a welfare impact are a necessity.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, K.H. Ma’ruf Amin also continues to try to do the same thing by holding various direct meetings with religious leaders, traditional leaders and Papuan community leaders.

The Vice President listened to the aspirations of all representatives from the community with the aim of accelerating the development of welfare for the people of the Land of Papua.

All parties must be able to work hard together to build unity, maintain harmony and also be able to support each other like a building. All elements of society as well as stakeholders must maintain peace between diversity, because a peaceful atmosphere will further support the accelerated development of Bumi Cenderawasih.

The government’s very strong commitment is to really pay attention to Papua completely from various aspects. Therefore, all elements of society continue to be invited to come together and unite.

Representative of religious figures from the Sorong Gospel Christian Church, Rev. Jeane Fonataba fully supports the government’s efforts to continue to encourage active involvement of the Papuan people in accelerating development.

With a conducive and dignified atmosphere, it is not impossible that the government’s progress in accelerating development in various sectors, such as humanitarian, infrastructure and economic aspects, will run smoothly.

Not only that, the Government in its approach also always provides extra attention and protection for women and children, including the younger generation who really need attention.

The land of Papua is an integral part that cannot be separated from the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, the Government continues to encourage, invite and facilitate the involvement of all indigenous Papuans (OAP) so that they always fully support the smooth progress of efforts to accelerate development.
