The Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN) is able to produce quality future generations of the nation with high competitiveness even on the international stage because of the extensive training and guidance from the State Intelligence Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BIN RI) as the initiator of the program.
With the birth of the nation’s next generation who have qualified qualities and high competitiveness, it is not impossible that they, as children who will inherit the baton of sustainability in this country, can bring Indonesia into an increasingly advanced country.
Of course, this effort is not easy or can be realized immediately in just a short time. There needs to be thorough preparation, so that the Indonesian Government realizes the Archipelago Student Dormitory (AMN) program to prepare the nation’s next generation of young people so that they are better qualified and highly competitive.
Sebelas Maret University (UNS) academic, Prof. Dr. Ravik Karsidi M.S., believes that there must continue to be efforts to improve the quality of education in order to create the nation’s next generation who are of high quality and have high competitiveness.
The development of quality human resources (HR) is an absolute must to be able to welcome the peak period of the demographic bonus in Indonesia, so that utilizing this momentum will actually further lift the nation’s economy so that it can get out of the trap of a middle-income country.
Improving the quality of educational services, as carried out by the Indonesian Government through the initiation of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) in the Archipelago Student Dormitory (AMN) program is one of the important determinants in order to further increase the achievements of the Human Development Index (HDI).
So it is not surprising why the Government of the Republic of Indonesia continues to make full efforts to accelerate the development of human resources, especially among the young generation of the nation’s successors who are qualified and have high competitiveness through education for students.
The reason is, education itself has a strategic position in order to realize human development efforts because it has the function of developing all the potential of students so that they can become human beings who believe, have faith in God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent. , skilled, competent and also cultured for the benefit of the nation.
The education process must be able to produce more productive and competitive human resources. So the Indonesian Government provides various provision and training programs, including in the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN) to prepare the nation’s next generation of young people to enter the world of work, so that they can experience increased competence or gain new forms of skills.Meanwhile, the Director of Strategic Infrastructure, Directorate General of Human Settlements, Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing, Ir. Essy Asiah said that the existence of AMN is indeed a forum for preparing the nation’s next generation of students so that they have higher quality, integrity, and also have strong national character so that they can be globally competitive.
There, the students will receive coaching, both academic and non-academic, which aims to further improve their abilities and skills.
In order to improve the quality and competitiveness of young people, AMN also collaborates with various other related parties such as universities, industry and other institutions or ministries to provide relevant training and experience to students regarding the world of work.
Head of the Republic of Indonesia State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan then said that the existence of the National Student Dormitory was an affirmative step to reduce disparities, especially in terms of access to education.
The construction of this magnificent building is a follow-up to the direct direction of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who wants the Indonesian people to have a model of home for diversity.
As directed by the Head of State, BIN then initiated the construction of AMN which aims to become a model for a house of diversity, a shared home for the archipelago for all the young generations of the nation’s future by carrying out the values of Pancasila and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
So it is not surprising that AMN is able to produce the nation’s next generation of young people who are qualified with high competitiveness and are even able to compete with anyone on the international stage. The public is also encouraged to continue to support the existence of AMN in order to form a cadre of national leaders who are tolerant and capable of bringing this nation to become a Golden Indonesia 2045.
