Manado – The presence of the Nusantara Student Dormitory or AMN is believed to be able to strengthen student competence in various sectors, not only education but also in the fields of animal husbandry, agriculture and fisheries.

Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat) Manado shows its commitment to supporting the construction of the Archipelago Student Dormitory (AMN) by preparing tens of hectares of land for developing student skills in various fields.

Unsrat Deputy Chancellor I for Academic Affairs, Grevo Soleman Gerung, expressed his very high appreciation for the development of AMN and emphasized the full support from the university.

“Under the direction and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Unsrat Manado provides full support and support for the development of AMN Manado,” said Grevo Soleman Gerung.

Apart from that, AMN Manado will be a very important means of improving the quality of education and student skills, especially in the fields that are the university’s main focus.

“With AMN, we hope that students can hone their skills to the maximum and be ready to compete on the national and international stage,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of the North Sulawesi Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW Sulut), Ir. Nurdiana Habibie explained that the construction of AMN Manado had a land area of ​​up to 20,000 square meters and a building area of ​​1595 square meters.

Thus, AMN in Manado is ready to become a forum for developing youth skills in various fields.

“There are towers for men’s and women’s dormitories as well as meeting buildings, multipurpose rooms, sports fields, gardens, road access and parking areas,” said Nurdiana.

Previously, the AMN Development Working Group of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), through the Deputy Chief of AMN Manado Working Group Idham Malik, stated that the land grant given by the North Sulawesi Provincial Government for the construction of dormitories was the largest area of ​​several regions that had granted land for the construction of similar dormitories.

“In Jakarta the area is only 5,000 meters, in Surabaya the area is 5,000 meters, while in Yogyakarta it is only 4,000 meters. “But AMN Manado is 5 hectares or the largest and largest area for AMN development land,” said Malik.

It is hoped that the construction of AMN will provide significant benefits for students pursuing higher education in the city of Manado and its surroundings, in developing academic knowledge and practical skills in various fields, especially animal husbandry, agriculture and fisheries.
