The Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN) is a superior program that is able to hone and explore the potential of all young people to learn from each other from the real differences in their midst, so that they do not view diversity as something bad, but instead become a force for unification.
In coaching and education through AMN as the Government’s strategic flagship program and the initiation of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN), these young people continue to have their hidden potential explored and have a platform to learn from each other in order to grow together even in the midst of differences.
Thus, if Indonesian young people are able to continue to build unity and unity despite their differences, then it is not impossible that they will all be able to work together to build this nation to be more advanced, which is also a contribution of the AMN program.
This building is a cadre formation place for the nation’s future leaders, which previously successfully stood majestically in the City of Heroes, Surabaya, and is currently taking place in Manado. In the future, the government plans to continue development in various locations throughout the country such as Makassar, Yogyakarta, Jakarta and Malang.
The existence of the Nusantara Student Dormitory is able to provide maximum full support for the nation’s young generation to get to know each other’s differences. According to the Special Staff (Stafsus) of the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), Antonius Benny Susetyo, the existence of this building is very important for Indonesia.
This is not without reason, because AMN is very important because it can be a solution to the pluralism of a nation that really needs facilities and a place for cadre formation for future leaders who can see that differences are actually something that unites.
Initiation program from the institution led by Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan is very suitable to be a place to cadre future leaders because it consists of multi-ethnic and cultural students. Everyone gathers and carries out activities together so that they can experience each other directly the differences in their lives.
Such practice is very important to continue to build this nation more advanced into the future, because it makes young people able to accept each other’s differences so as to instill adaptable education.
So that quite a few people from the community also provide their support by hoping that the Indonesian Government will continue to create more and more sustainable programs like this, not only at the student level, but also to reach generations at the Senior High School (SMA) level.
If student groups also have this kind of cultural engineering to make them experience and deal directly with real diversity, then this will shape the character and personality of the nation’s children.
Meanwhile, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy assessed that the existence of tolerance between communities in Indonesia, especially among young people despite their diversity, is a key to the country’s progress.
Indonesia itself is a very multicultural country with a variety of diversity within it, such as different ethnicities, races, languages and also religions. The existence of this diversity is a national asset that all parties must continue to protect and care for together.
Diversity in Indonesia is a necessary reality, so that all people clearly have the same obligation to recognize and respect each other without discriminating.
It is very important to be able to instill various principles such as independence and freedom to foster an attitude of tolerance, mutual respect for differences among young people, which is what takes place in the Nusantara Student Dormitory (AMN).
A strong sense of unity and oneness among young people is an asset to build this nation more advanced in the future. The motto Bhinneka Tunggal Ika itself has a meaning in accordance with Indonesia’s diversity which must be different from each other but still has one goal.
On the other hand, the Governor of North Sulawesi (Sulut) through the Provincial Regional Secretary (Sekdaprov) Steve HA Kepel stated that AMN is a means to continue to encourage improvements in the quality of human resources (HR), especially among youth. []
