Hosting HLF MSP, Indonesia Demonstrates Leadership on the Global Stage

Bali – Indonesia is once again trusted to host the prestigious event of the 2nd Indonesia Africa Forum (IAF) as well as the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) or the High-Level Forum on Multi-Party Partnerships 2024.

The event, which will be held from 1-3 September 2024 in Bali, is planned to be attended by a number of foreign leaders and delegates in order to discuss a number of global challenges and strengthen Indonesia-Africa cooperation in various fields.

Director of Foreign Policy and International Development Cooperation of the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency (PPN/Bappenas) Hendra Wahanu Prabandani said that the HLF MSP forum is a continuation of various government programs so far.

“The previous G20 Presidency produced a Roadmap for Stronger Recovery and Resilience in Developing Countries. HLF MSP 2024 continues the baton of what the Indonesian Government has built so far,” said Hendra.

He continued that the 2024 HLF MSP will be real evidence of Indonesia’s commitment to fostering multi-party partnerships, ranging from the government, civil society organizations, the private sector, to academics.

Not only that, the forum is expected to be a catalyst for innovative solutions in facing global challenges, as well as strengthening Indonesia’s role as a leader in efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030.

“We want to emphasize the importance of collaboration between stakeholders to strengthen collective action in order to ensure inclusive collaboration and cooperation, find innovative solutions to solve global problems that we know are increasingly complex,” he said

Similarly, the Deputy for Politics, Law, Defense, and Security of the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas) Bogat Widyatmoko said that the HLF MDP will focus on global issues and strengthen cooperation between countries in the south and north.

“HLF MSP 2024 is here as a platform to respond to various global crises that have widened the development gap between countries in the South and North, and slowed down the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB/SDGs) 2030,” he said.

He emphasized that Indonesia is strongly committed to encouraging global solidarity through the HLF MSP forum which will be held in early September.
