HLF-MSP 2024 Accelerates the Realization of Golden Indonesia 2045
Bali – Indonesia is strongly committed to promoting global solidarity through the international meeting of the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) 2024, which will be held in Bali from September 1 to 3, 2024.
The title also accelerates the achievement of Indonesia’s Golden Vision 2045 through innovative and transformative multi-stakeholder partnerships.
This was emphasized by the Deputy for Politics, Law, Defense, and Security of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Bogat Widyatmoko, who believes that Indonesia’s role on the international stage is becoming increasingly vital, especially in the current challenging global conditions.
“In 2024, the world is facing increased political tensions, climate change, pollution, and a significant deficit of trust. Furthermore, the pandemic that has swept across the globe has further widened the gap between countries in the northern and southern hemispheres,” he said.
Bogat assesses that international forums are very important in strengthening global cooperation and addressing various crucial issues. Like this HLF MSP, which aims to enhance global solidarity in facing challenges such as climate change, political instability, and economic inequality.
According to Bogat, through the HLF MSP, Indonesia is striving to transform various cooperation platforms to address global issues. Because the world needs a new order in governance systems to address the existing polycrisis.
“Innovation is needed as a catalyst to narrow the gap between the northern and southern countries,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Director of Foreign Politics and International Development Cooperation at the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Hendra Prabandani, expressed the importance of this forum for Indonesia to establish collaboration with countries in South-South and Triangular Cooperation (KSST) and to reinforce Indonesia’s leadership position on the international stage.
“HLF MSP 2024 opens opportunities for Indonesia to strengthen its position as a bridge for developing countries in sharing knowledge and best practices in addressing development issues, and revitalizing South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC),” stated Director Hendra.
Furthermore, Hendra explained that the Indonesian government, through the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Planning Agency, hopes for the support and participation of all parties, especially development actors such as the central and regional governments, the private sector, civil society organizations, and academics, including think tanks, to participate and ensure the success of this global event.
Not only for collaborating to find solutions to global challenges, this forum also embodies one of the visions of Golden Indonesia 2045.
“HLF MSP is also expected to be one of the stepping stones or foundations in achieving the Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045, which is the enhancement of Indonesia’s leadership in the international arena,” concluded Hendra. (*)
