JAKARTA — The government ensures a reliable electricity supply ahead of the International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024.
Welcoming ISF 2024, the government through PLN Distribution Unit (UID) Greater Jakarta ensures the reliability of electricity supply during the important series of events.
There are concrete steps that PLN UID Jakarta Raya has prepared to ensure the availability of reliable electricity.
The power usage reached 8,919 MW with a peak load of 5,882 MW; in addition, PLN also has a power reserve of 3,037 MW, or about 35.05 percent, ready to be used during standby periods.
The General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Lasiran, stated that they have prepared 4 special standby posts in several strategic locations close to the event venue.
The presence of the standby post operates 24 hours a day to ensure a quick response to any potential electrical disturbances.
“PLN is committed to providing the best service, especially in supporting the success of international-scale events like ISF 2024,” said Lasiran.
“The entire team is on standby, and we will continue to monitor the electrical system conditions in real-time throughout the event,” he added.
The government is indeed very prepared to hold the ISF 2024 for the second time, which will take place on September 5 to 6, 2024, at the Jakarta Convention Center.
This also includes the security sector through a series of very thorough preparation processes by the security apparatus.
The Head of the PID Divhumas Polri, Brigadier General Tjahyono Saputro, stated that the security activities involve thousands of personnel.
“In this operation, a total of 4,730 personnel were involved,” he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the thoroughness of all the preparation stages, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan is very optimistic that ISF 2024 will run successfully and be able to produce various concrete solutions for sustainability.
“I am confident that this year’s ISF will be a platform that facilitates international collaboration to enhance access to green funding, as well as a knowledge-sharing process to improve the capacity of human resources ready to embrace a Net Zero future,” he said.
“This forum will also serve as an inclusive sustainability forum for all layers of society,” he concluded.
