Chelsea Islan Invites the Public to Succeed in ISF 2024

The Indonesia Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024, held from September 5-6, 2024, in Jakarta, is considered a crucial moment for Indonesia to strengthen its position in global leadership, particularly regarding decarbonization initiatives and energy transition.

This forum serves as a platform for Indonesia to demonstrate its active role in promoting fundamental international collaboration in addressing global environmental challenges, and thus it requires full support from the community.

Actress and ISF 2024 ambassador, Chelsea Islan, spoke out about the importance of public awareness regarding the energy transition.

“As one of the ambassadors of ISF and also as an advocate, I want to raise awareness among the Indonesian and global communities regarding the urgency of the ISF 2024 agenda. I hope to encourage ongoing efforts for decarbonization and energy transition in Indonesia and the world,” said Chelsea.

Chelsea also invites the community, especially the younger generation, to actively participate in ISF 2024 and to take part in promoting this event. According to him, public participation and media support are crucial for the success of the ISF agenda and to ensure that Indonesia can continue to play an active role in creating a sustainable future on a global scale.

Previously, the Deputy Coordinator for Transportation and Infrastructure of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Rachmat Kaimuddin, emphasized that ISF 2024 opens up significant opportunities for Indonesia to lead various important initiatives on the international stage.

“The success of the Indonesia Sustainability Forum last year demonstrates how concrete Indonesia’s opportunities are in leading and promoting fundamental global initiatives and collaborations essential for achieving fair and equal opportunities for countries to implement decarbonization,” said Rachmat Kaimuddin.

ISF 2024 is a continuation of the success of last year’s inaugural forum, which attracted over 2,000 participants from 40 countries, including the United States, China, and the United Kingdom. The forum also successfully featured a number of world-class speakers, such as IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, World Bank President Ajay Banga, as well as leaders from multinational companies like Wuling, Google, and Amazon. The presence of these figures reinforces ISF’s position as an important platform in promoting global solutions for sustainability issues.
