Great Success! Indonesia Concludes the 2nd IAF and HLF-MSP with a Spirit of Global Unity
Bali – The second Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF) and the High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF-MSP) 2024 concluded today with a poignant atmosphere and a spirit of global unity. The event that took place over three days in Bali successfully gathered world leaders, representatives of international organizations, and various stakeholders to discuss pressing global issues.
President Joko Widodo expressed gratitude for the successful organization of the two forums.
“Indonesia feels honored to host this important meeting.” “Through the IAF and HLF-MSP, we strengthen South-South cooperation and reinforce the spirit of global solidarity,” said President Jokowi.
The President also emphasized the importance of collaboration to address global challenges such as climate change, inequality, and pandemics.
In the series of IAF and HLF-MSP, President Joko Widodo held a bilateral meeting with President of Liberia Joseph Nyuma Boakai in the Casablanca Room, Mulia Hotel Nusa Dua Bali. The meeting marked an important momentum in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries that have been established for nearly six decades.
On that occasion, President Jokowi emphasized that the bilateral relations between the two countries have been going well for almost 60 years.
“The bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Liberia has been going well for almost six decades, and I believe there is still much potential that we can develop together,” said President Jokowi.
The Head of State then emphasized three main sectors of cooperation that could be strengthened between Indonesia and Liberia. One of them is in the palm oil sector, which is currently facing various challenges, ranging from black campaigns launched in the Western world to the discriminatory policies of the European Union Deforestation Regulation. (EUDR).
“Indonesia continues to fight against this negative campaign and hopes that Liberia can also continue to support. Indonesia is also ready to assist in capacity building in African countries, including Liberia,” stated President Jokowi.
Next is cooperation in the field of infrastructure. President Jokowi stated that Indonesia has many companies with extensive experience in infrastructure development, which are ready to collaborate with Liberia.

The President of Indonesia then expressed the country’s readiness to strengthen development cooperation with Liberia through various programs tailored to Liberia’s needs. This includes technical support, scholarships, and vocational training.
With the conclusion of the IAF and HLF-MSP, Indonesia increasingly asserts its position as a leader in the region and an important player on the global stage.
