Ready to Host ISF 2024, Indonesia Demonstrates the Use of Renewable Energy and Reliable Infrastructure

JAKARTA — Indonesia’s readiness to face the International Sustainability Forum (ISF) 2024 is at its peak, even utilizing new and renewable energy (NRE) and reliable infrastructure.

The President Director of PLN, Darmawan Pasodjo, stated that his party ensures the electricity system is in a reliable condition to support the success of every major national agenda.

“PLN is committed to providing the best service, especially in supporting the success of international-scale events like ISF 2024,” he said.

In fact, everyone is fully prepared to monitor the condition of the electrical system in real time.

“The entire team is on standby, and we will continue to monitor the electrical system conditions in real time during the event,” said Darmawan.

Senada, the General Manager of PLN UID Jakarta Raya, Lasiran stated that they are preparing a layered supply security scheme to ensure the reliability of the supply.

PLN has also established 4 emergency posts and deployed a total of 496 personnel with 5 detection vehicle units.

In addition, PLN provides 33 units of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) with a total capacity of 10,970 kilovolt-amperes (kVA), 7 units of Mobile Cables (UKB), 10 units of Mobile Substations (UGB) with a total capacity of 7,980 kVA, as well as 22 units of generators with a total capacity of 26,685 kVA.

All of these things demonstrate how PN’s concrete commitment to ensuring a reliable electricity supply.

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Infrastructure and Transportation Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, Rachmat Kaimuddin, stated that the National Monument (Monas) area in Jakarta will be the venue for a dinner reception for heads of state and honored guests.

At the gala dinner, guests can also enjoy entertainment in the form of video mapping at Monas, as well as light attractions that display animated images or videos on the west plaza wall of Monas.

“Monas was chosen as the venue for the dinner because this monument reflects the noble values of Indonesia’s historical revival, which aligns with the spirit of collaboration that ISF aims to promote,” said Rachmat.
