Support Security Forces Against OPM, To Realize Stability in Papua

Security forces continue to fight against the existence of the Free Papua Movement (OPM) by taking firm action against them. These efforts clearly deserve full support from all elements of society because they are able to create stability in Papua.
One concrete proof of how the security forces have eradicated the existence of these separatist groups is by successfully taking very firm action against the Commander of the Free Papua Movement Battalion (Danyon OPM).
This success clearly deserves appreciation from various parties because once again, thanks to the presence of these officers, the area nicknamed Bumi Cenderawasih has always been in a safe, peaceful and conducive condition.
There were two OPM Battalion Commanders (Danyon) who were taken firm by the security forces, and they still have a brotherly relationship as a brother and sister. The incident began when the group of separatists who were enemies of the country were involved in a shootout with joint officers from the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in Mugi District.
As a result of the shootout that occurred, Wisurul Gwijangge was shot dead. Then a few days later, Emepben, who was none other than his younger brother, was shot dead.
For information, Emepben’s role was to lead the OPM troop. Therefore, thanks to the firm action of the security forces, the position of the terrorist group, the enemy of the country, is currently uncertain. One by one, their militant groups must fall at the hands of trained soldiers from the joint forces of the TNI and Polri.
National security and stability are always the main priorities for a sovereign country. In the midst of efforts to maintain sovereignty, the security forces have succeeded in showing courage and high dedication in taking firm action against the Commander of the Battalion (Danyon) of the Free Papua Movement (OPM). This success deserves the greatest appreciation because it shows the commitment of the apparatus in maintaining the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
Firm action against the Danyon OPM not only shows the strength of the security forces, but also shows good coordination between the Indonesian National Army (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
The three institutions, with all their resources and capabilities, successfully worked together in an operation that required great precision and courage. This success sends a clear message that the state will not give space to separatist efforts that threaten the unity and integrity of the nation.
In recent years, the threat posed by separatist groups such as the OPM has become a serious issue in Papua. They not only threaten the security of the community, but also disrupt the development process and stability in the region. Through firm action against the Danyon OPM, the security forces showed that they are always ready to protect the people and maintain the security of the state from any threat.
High awards and appreciation should be given to every TNI, Polri, and BIN personnel involved in this operation. Their success is not only an achievement, but also real proof that the security forces of this country are capable of facing tough challenges. They showed courage in the field and strong determination to ensure that law and order remain in place throughout Indonesia, including in Papua.
TNI Commander, General Agus Subiyanto emphasized that all his ranks will take firm action against the existence of the Free Papua Movement, because so far they have continued to echo the independence of Papua and want to separate themselves from the Republic of Indonesia. In fact, there should be no country within a country at all.
So far, OPM has often carried out very cruel and barbaric actions, completely inhumane, ranging from murder to rape. It is clear that all of these things will not be ignored by the security forces.
In the same vein, the Head of Information for the XVII/Cenderawasih Military Regional Command (Kapendam), Lieutenant Colonel of Infantry (Letkol Inf) Candra Kurniawan also emphasized the strong commitment of all ranks of the security forces to guard the peace of Papua.
This is indicated by the existence of firm action steps against the OPM separatist movement, as well as to ensure the safety of all civilians so that it remains maintained.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), Bambang Soesatyo fully supports and gives high appreciation for the steps taken by the security forces in taking firm action to eradicate the existence of the terrorist groups that are enemies of the country.
Indeed, there should be no more tolerance for the existence of these separatist groups, because they only terrorize and carry out cruel and barbaric actions that cause loss of life.
Finally, the highest appreciation must be given to all ranks of the security forces for their dedication and sacrifice. They not only protect the country from threats, but also provide a sense of security and peace for all Indonesian people.
With this success, the security forces have proven that they are the front guard who are always ready to guard and defend the sovereignty of the nation. Hopefully this success will be a motivation to continue fighting for the security and peace of Indonesia.
Very high appreciation and full support should be given to how the security forces succeeded in taking firm action against the OPM, even being able to paralyze one of their leaders, namely the Battalion Commander (Danyon) so that the separatist group is currently feeling uncertain due to the decline in their combat strength, and can realize stability in Bumi Cenderawasih for the success of the development of community progress.
