Appreciation of President Jokowi’s Commitment to Improve Acehnese Youth’s Human Resources through the Amanah Program

Banda Aceh – Syaifullah Muhammad, Chairman of the Syiah Kuala University Business Development Agency, expressed his appreciation for the Aneuk Muda Muda Aceh Unggul dan Hebat (AMANAH) program initiated by President Joko Widodo. This program is real evidence of the government’s commitment to improving the quality of human resources (HR) of the younger generation in Aceh.

The AMANAH program initiated by the Head of BIN, Police General (Ret.) Prof. Dr. Budi Gunawan, S.H., M.Sc., Ph.D., P.S.M., has succeeded in providing supplies through various training for Acehnese youth. With the aim of creating an independent, competent, and professional generation, AMANAH is an important platform for improving the capacity of HR in the Aceh region, said Syaifullah during an interview with a private radio station in Jakarta (24/9).

According to him, the existence of the AMANAH program opens up opportunities for Acehnese youth to receive character development from national mentors. Participants not only gain knowledge, but also access to a wide network, as well as adequate facilities. This is believed to form a young generation of Aceh that is competitive at the national and international levels.

“The AMANAH program has a significant impact on the creative economy sector in Aceh. Improving the quality of products produced by young people, both in the culinary and fashion fields, is the main highlight. Participants gain provisions and experience that enrich the quality of their products, which of course contributes to the economy of the Acehnese people,” he said.

AMANAH is a program that touches on various aspects, from developing abilities and skills, improving product quality, to providing market access. A total of 20,100 young people throughout Aceh have participated in this program, and the response from the community and participants has been very positive.

In addition to improving skills, the AMANAH program also emphasizes the historical and cultural values ​​of Aceh. Events such as the Muslim Fashion Fest and Aceh Barista Champ have succeeded in showcasing the richness of Acehnese culture to the wider community, so that it is known nationally and globally. The facilities built at AMANAH support all activities related to youth products.

The AMANAH building is planned to be inaugurated by President Jokowi in October 2024. However, the building has functioned as a creative place for young people to develop products that can be marketed nationally and globally. This large investment from the central and regional governments shows the seriousness in supporting human resource development in Aceh.

In the interview, Syaifullah Muhammad reminded young people in Aceh to work hard, dream big, and realize their dreams with concrete steps. The AMANAH program is an opportunity that should not be wasted to prepare themselves as quality human resources.

“With real steps through the AMANAH program, it is hoped that young people in Aceh can become agents of change who are ready to compete and contribute to regional and national development,” said Syaifullah.
