Knitting the Future of the Nation, Prabowo-Gibran’s Priority Programs Synergize with President Jokowi’s Foundation

The government of President-elect Prabowo Subianto is preparing a number of priority programs that will synergize with the strong foundations that have been built by President Joko Widodo.
One of the main programs in the spotlight is the allocation of IDR 71 trillion from the 2025 State Budget Bill (RAPBN) to support free nutritious meals for the community.
This program is in line with President Jokowi’s commitment to directing the government to ensure that there are no gaps or disparities in the policy transition between the two governments.
Prabowo Subianto, as President-elect, carries a grand vision for a more advanced Indonesia. The high-ranking Indonesian military officer wants to prioritize programs that directly address the needs of the community, one of which is through the provision of free nutritious meals.
Finance Minister Sri Mulyani explained that the 2025 Draft State Budget was designed to ensure the sustainability of development that has been initiated towards Advanced Indonesia 2045. According to her, the State Budget is a vital instrument to maintain the stability of the country and the economy in the long term.
The Minister of Finance assessed that the harmonization between President Jokowi’s government policies and Prabowo’s programs is a real manifestation of shared concern for the sustainability of the nation.
The 2025 Draft State Budget is considered capable of accommodating all budget needs, both for old programs and new initiatives prepared by the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party DPP. This commitment is needed so that long-term targets such as Advanced Indonesia can be achieved as expected.
Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo has directed members of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet to fully support the program of the elected president. The leader of the nation who was born in Surakarta City emphasized the importance of a smooth and smooth transition of government from himself to Prabowo Subianto.
President Jokowi emphasized that all forms of regulations or policies if needed to support Prabowo’s priority programs must be handled immediately by the cabinet. An efficient government transition is believed to accelerate the realization of strategic programs, such as free nutritious meals, free health checks, school renovations, and the construction of food barns in villages. Support from the current government is an important factor so that there are no delays in the implementation of the programs that are highly anticipated by the community.
On the other hand, Rico Novianto, Director of the Public Policy Research Center of the Institute for Development of Policy and Local Partnership (IDP-LP), emphasized the importance of synergy between the old and new leadership.
According to him, the policy proposed by President Jokowi to accommodate Prabowo Subianto’s programs in the 2025 RAPBN is a step that deserves appreciation. This support shows a healthy political tradition where previous leaders provide space for their successors to continue better development.
The free nutritious meal program is one of the main pillars in Prabowo-Gibran’s strategy to overcome the problems of stunting and malnutrition that still threaten some Indonesian people.
The budget allocation of IDR 71 trillion will be distributed evenly throughout Indonesia, including Bumi Cenderawasih, known as the region nicknamed the Little Heaven at the tip of Indonesia.
With full support from the 2025 RAPBN, this program is expected to significantly improve the quality of life of the community, especially in underdeveloped areas that often experience a lack of access to nutritious food.
In addition, free health checks are the second program launched by the Prabowo-Gibran government. The program aims to strengthen primary health services by providing routine checks that can be accessed by all levels of society.
The synergy between this initiative and the Healthy Indonesia Card program that has been running under President Jokowi’s administration will have a positive impact on public health. The government wants to ensure that every citizen, both in urban areas and in remote villages, gets decent health services without being burdened by costs.
School renovation with a budget allocation of IDR 20.3 trillion is also a major concern in the priority programs of the new government. Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of education as the key to building a quality future generation.
As many as 17,000 schools spread across various regions, including in Tanah Papua, will be renovated to improve the condition of classrooms, furniture, and other supporting facilities. The renovation program is expected to provide a comfortable and safe learning environment for students.
