President Prabowo’s Speech Calls for Pro-People Policies in Development
JAKARTA – The inauguration day of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka became a historic moment for Indonesia. In his speech filled with the spirit of togetherness, President Prabowo invited all elements of the nation to unite in facing global challenges. “Today we have a very great honor, attended by 19 heads of state, 19 heads of government, and 15 special envoys from friendly countries. They are here to honor the nation and people of Indonesia,” said President Prabowo.
The speech was not only a statement of gratitude, but also President Prabowo’s commitment to bring Indonesia in a better direction. In his oath, he stated firmly, “I, Prabowo Subianto and brother Gibran Rakabuming Raka, have taken an oath to defend the Constitution, implement all applicable laws, and serve the nation and state with all the strength in our souls and bodies. This shows the seriousness to uphold the values of the constitution and protect all the people of Indonesia,” President Prabowo emphasized.
The challenges facing Indonesia in the future are certainly not easy. However, President Prabowo emphasized that the Indonesian nation is a brave nation.
“We must be a nation that is not afraid of challenges, not afraid of threats. Our history is a history full of heroism and sacrifice, and we must always remember that. The courage and spirit of struggle of the Indonesian people, especially the little people, are the keys to the success of independence that was not achieved for free,” said President Prabowo with full confidence.
Facing various global and domestic problems, President Prabowo invited all parties to dare to correct themselves.
“We must dare to see the reality that there are still too many budget leaks, corruption, and collusion that occur at various levels,” he said firmly.
According to him, Indonesia’s biggest challenges come from within the country, especially in terms of resource management which is still not optimal. Therefore, he called for the importance of improving the system and stricter law enforcement, as well as the use of digital technology to reduce corruption.
One of President Prabowo’s main focuses is food and energy security. “Indonesia must immediately be self-sufficient in food and energy in the shortest possible time. We should not depend on other countries to meet our food and energy needs,” he stressed.
According to him, Indonesia has all the resources needed to make this happen, from crops such as palm oil to renewable energy such as geothermal and water. “We will focus on achieving energy and food self-sufficiency for a more independent future,” he added.
President Prabowo also touched on the importance of people’s welfare. “Too many of our brothers and sisters have not enjoyed the fruits of independence, who are still below the poverty line, and children who are malnourished. To address this, he promised to ensure that all government subsidies and assistance reach those who really need it, especially through the use of digital technology. Our children must be able to eat nutritious food at least once a day, and that is our duty as leaders,” President Prabowo stressed.
In his speech, President Prabowo also highlighted the importance of polite and civilized democracy. “Our democracy must be a democracy that is uniquely Indonesian, a democracy that is polite and avoids violence, incitement, and insults. Indonesian democracy must prioritize deliberation, avoid division, and encourage cooperation at all levels of society,” President Prabowo continued.
President Prabowo’s speech reflected his grand vision for a better Indonesia, with a focus on national resilience, eradicating corruption, and improving people’s welfare. He closed his speech with a strong appeal: “We must unite and dare to face all challenges, in order to realize the ideals of the nation’s founders and ensure a better future for our children and grandchildren.”
With this new spirit, Indonesia under President Prabowo’s leadership is ready to face all challenges ahead, with optimism that together, this nation will achieve brilliant progress.
