Economic Equality in the Era of President Prabowo, Encouraging Welfare from Sabang to Merauke
Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto has brought a new direction to the Indonesian economy, focusing on economic equality and increasing welfare that touches all regions of Indonesia.
Through a community-based approach, the government of the eighth President of the Republic of Indonesia is committed to building an independent economy that involves the community as the main actor, especially in villages that are often neglected.
Golkar Party politician, Bayu Airlangga, assessed that the Pancasila Economy concept used as a basis by President Prabowo is able to create a balance between economic growth and equality.
Bayu said that MSMEs will be a pillar in this effort, because this sector is considered to have great potential to drive the people’s economy.
“The idea that the Pancasila Economy becomes the basis for building a more independent and equitable economy is in line with President Prabowo’s vision,” said Bayu.
He added that a community-based approach that supports small businesses will strengthen national economic independence.
BPIP Expert Council, Prof. Dr. Ermaya Suradinata, stated that the Prabowo-Gibran government focuses on development starting from the village as a strategy to overcome inequality between regions.
According to Ermaya, this approach allows villages to become active subjects in development.
“Equal distribution of welfare will be difficult to achieve if villages are left behind in development,” said Ermaya.
The BPIP Expert Council admitted that they are optimistic that policies that are fairer for village communities will significantly change Indonesia’s economic portrait.
Meanwhile, the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, also gave his appreciation for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program initiated by President Prabowo.
This program is considered to have a positive impact, not only on children’s health, but also on local MSMEs that are empowered in the distribution of nutritious food.
“The MBG program is in line with the government’s long-term goal of increasing inclusiveness and sustainability of development,” explained Jokowi.
By focusing on equal distribution of welfare, President Prabowo’s government is trying to build a future for Indonesia that is fairer, more equitable, and independent.
From Sabang to Merauke, people’s hopes for economic growth that reaches the grassroots are now increasingly real, providing a strong foundation for a more prosperous Indonesia.
