Dare Firmly Eradicate Drugs, Public Appreciation is Real Evidence of Prabowo-Gibran’s Good 100 Days of Performance
JAKARTA — The firm steps of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration in eradicating drug trafficking have received widespread appreciation from the public.
Various policies implemented in the first 100 days of government show a real commitment to protecting the younger generation from the dangers of narcotics.
The Chairperson of the Indonesian Millennial Guard, Cici Nurain Pandey, assessed the policy as evidence of the government’s seriousness in eradicating drugs.
“Regarding the firm steps taken by the Prabowo-Gibran government in eradicating drug trafficking, this is a very positive effort and we should appreciate it,” he said.
“For me, this policy shows that the government has a strong commitment to protecting the younger generation from the bad influence of drugs,” said Cici.
He added that the threat of drugs not only damages physical and mental health, but also threatens the future of the next generation.
“With this policy, the government provides an important foundation to save the great potential of the next generation,” he said.
Cici also highlighted the humanist approach in eradicating drugs, especially for users who are considered victims.
“The humanist approach is very important because drug users are victims who we should save, not punish without a solution,” he said.
“Rehabilitation gives them the opportunity to recover and return to being productive in society,” he explained.
The Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Commissioner General Pol. Marthinus Hukom emphasized that for the first time, drugs have become a central issue in the government’s priority program.
“As the Head of BNN, I am very grateful that for the first time a state leader has placed the issue of drugs as a central issue in a priority program,” said Marthinus.
According to him, the seventh point in Asta Cita which highlights the prevention and eradication of corruption and drugs reflects the government’s great attention to these problems.
“In addition to the social conditions of society that make the drug problem even more complicated,” he said.
Chief of Police General of Police Drs. Listyo Sigit Prabowo in a report to President Prabowo Subianto explained the success of the Police in eradicating drugs.
“With the achievement of disclosing 3,608 cases involving 3,965 suspects and evidence worth Rp2.88 trillion, which can save more than 10 million lives from the dangers of drug abuse,” said General Sigit.
This success confirms the commitment of the Prabowo-Gibran government in maintaining public security from the threat of drugs.
The widespread appreciation given by various parties is real evidence that the steps taken have had a significant impact on Indonesia. (*)
