Appreciation of the Role of Entrepreneur Groups in the Rice Field Program

The rice field printing program is one of the strategic efforts taken by the government to improve food security and farmer welfare. In this effort, the role of business groups is very vital, both in terms of financing, providing technology, and assistance in managing newly opened agricultural land.
The business groups involved in this program not only contribute in terms of material, but also participate in creating a more efficient and sustainable agricultural system.
Appreciation of the role of business groups in the rice field printing program is very important. They are not only investors who invest capital, but more than that, they also play a role as a driving force in the transformation of the modern agricultural sector.
Through cooperation with the government, entrepreneurs can help access the latest technology and innovation in the agricultural sector, which in turn will increase agricultural production and farmer welfare.
Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) for Agriculture, Devi Erna Rachmawati, said that Kadin will help identify land in the regions for the rice field printing program and land optimization. Devi hopes that the regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadinda) network will be able to maximize potential land in various regions for land extensification.
In addition to focusing on productivity, extensification, and intensification, the Ministry of Agriculture and Kadin will also open up great opportunities in the trade and investment sectors to strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesian agribusiness in the global market.
In addition, business groups also play a role in providing training and assistance to farmers. This training is very important to increase the capacity of farmers in managing newly opened land. With continuous assistance, farmers are not only taught how to use modern tools, but are also given insight into efficient and profitable farming methods.
Business groups that have knowledge and experience in this field can help farmers understand important aspects of agricultural businesses, such as selecting superior seeds, using the right fertilizers, and how to control pests and plant diseases.
The importance of the role of business groups in the rice field printing program can also be seen in their contribution to improving farmer welfare. With good cooperation between business groups and farmers, farmers can gain easier access to the market.
Entrepreneur groups often have extensive distribution networks, so they can help farmers market their agricultural products at better and more stable prices. This of course has a positive impact on farmers’ income, which in turn will improve their quality of life.

Amid major challenges in the agricultural sector, such as limited land, climate change, and dependence on external factors, cooperation with entrepreneur groups is a very effective solution.
Head of the Central Kalimantan Food Crops, Horticulture, and Livestock Service (DPTPHP), Sunarti, stated that his party wanted farmers to be confident and not have to worry about the harvest. The government has thought about the market and its management. And this program is an effort to create a sustainable agricultural ecosystem.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Central Kalimantan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rahmat Nasution Hamka, emphasized that the rice field printing program is a great opportunity for the business world to play an active role in building food security while improving the regional economy.
Rahmat assessed that this strategic step by the central and provincial governments will have a significant positive impact on the region, both in terms of economy and social. According to him, the involvement of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is quite important in supporting the provision of facilities and infrastructure, investment, and marketing of agricultural products.
Rahmat also encouraged local entrepreneurs in Central Kalimantan to take part in the implementation of this program. According to him, the involvement of local entrepreneurs will strengthen the agricultural ecosystem in the region while creating new jobs for the community.
In addition to direct benefits for farmers, the rice field printing program involving entrepreneurs also has a positive impact on the regional economy.
