Government Instruments Help Develop MSMEs and Economic Equity
Jakarta – The government continues to optimize potential that can improve MSMEs and economic equality.
In this effort, the Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the Republic of Indonesia, Helvi Moraza, made a working visit to the Medan Branch of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) Office for the development and improvement of entrepreneurship through training and access to capital for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Helvi said that the role of PNM customers is important in the process of economic empowerment and supporting the strategic programs of the Prabowo Subianto government.
The national strategic program is stated in Asta Cita, namely accelerating the realization of economic equality and economic transformation towards Indonesia Emas 2045.
“PNM has extraordinary potential to encourage its customers to move up a class. Together with the Ministry of MSMEs, we plan to prepare 10 of the best entrepreneurial talents who will be upgraded in the near future,” said Deputy Minister Helvi in his statement.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso emphasized the importance of support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to penetrate the export market. This is to encourage MSMEs to move up a class while encouraging economic growth.
The Minister of Trade also appreciated the Gemini Academy Program fostered by Google Indonesia which encourages Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises to Dare to Innovate, Ready to Adapt to Exports (MSMEs BISA Export). Budi Santoso even encouraged collaboration between the Ministry of Trade and Google Indonesia.
Budi Santoso saw that the use of artificial intelligence features could be used by the Ministry of Trade in training activities, technical guidance, or policy socialization. Directly, this feature can support both the MSME BISA Export Program and the development of non-export MSMEs.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Trade and Google Indonesia to support the MSME BISA Export Program through the Gemini Academy Program is quite good.
The Ministry of Trade sees the use of artificial intelligence through Gemini Academy in training, technical guidance, and policy socialization as being able to support the UMKM BISA Ekspor Program,” said the Minister of Trade.
The government’s persistence in improving and equalizing the economy, UMKM, is an effort that deserves to be appreciated by all parties, in the future it is hoped that UMKM can become a pillar of national economic growth.
BRI President Director, Sunarso emphasized that the importance of an empowerment approach is at the forefront of financing in supporting the progress of UMKM.
According to him, education is the key to placing UMKM on par with banks as strategic partners, not just parties who need help.
“Through this step, BRI helps build an entrepreneurial spirit, improves managerial capabilities, provides access to markets and technology, and encourages the implementation of the principles of Good Corporate Governance so that UMKM can grow more sustainably and competitively,” he said.
