DPR Will Ratify Revised BUMN Law in Plenary Session

Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad confirmed the ratification of the Revised Law (RUU) on State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) into Law. The ratification will be carried out in a Plenary Meeting of the DPR Leadership attended by DPR Members on Tuesday (4/2/2025).

“The plan is for a plenary session next Tuesday to ratify the BUMN Bill into Law. Actually, there is nothing special, it’s just because this is friends because they have been discussing it for several days,” said Dasco to reporters at the DPR Building in Jakarta, on Saturday (1/2/2025).

Dasco stated that Commission VI of the DPR had held a series of meetings to discuss the revision of Law Number 19 of 2003. He explained that the DPR and the Government had approved the Bill in a level I decision at Commission VI of the DPR.

“This is apparently so that the time gap is not too long, asking for it to be completed today. Yes, we asked the Government if it could be done today, yes the Government could, yes we will complete it today, that’s all,” he said. Previously, Commission VI of the DPR and the Government held a level I decision-making meeting on the BUMN Bill. All Factions in Commission VI of the DPR stated that they agreed to continue to the DPR Plenary Meeting to be ratified into Law.
