Government Facilitates Access to 3-Kg LPG Gas for the Public
Jakarta – The government continues to strive to ensure that the distribution of 3-kg LPG gas runs smoothly and on target. One of the strategic steps taken is to reorganize the distribution system by integrating retailers as part of the official sub-base.
Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that this policy aims to shorten the distribution channel, maintain price stability, and ensure that this subsidized gas is truly enjoyed by the people who are entitled to it.
“The government is reorganizing the 3-kg LPG gas distribution system so that retailers can become part of the official system. With this step, distribution will be neater, prices will be more controlled, and the public will still be able to easily obtain subsidized LPG,” said Dasco.
Support for this policy also came from the local government. The Mayor of Denpasar, I Gusti Ngurah Jaya Negara, emphasized that his party will continue to ensure the availability of subsidized LPG in his area. In the Coordination Meeting (Rakor) held at the Denpasar Mayor’s Office, he emphasized the importance of easy access for the public to 3-kg LPG.
“We ensure that the stock of 3 kg LPG is sufficient, so that the needs of the community can be met without any obstacles,” said Jaya Negara.
Furthermore, he also highlighted Pertamina’s role in supporting better distribution. According to him, socialization to the community is very necessary so that they understand the new policy and know the official locations for selling 3 kg LPG.
“We hope that Pertamina can ensure the availability of stock and provide convenience for the community in obtaining this subsidized LPG,” he added.
Responding to this policy, Pertamina Denpasar Branch Manager, Zico Aldillah Syahtian, stated that his party is ready to support government policies by ensuring that distribution runs according to the established rules.
“Currently, Pertamina is distributing 3 kg LPG to registered bases and sub-bases. Later, retailers will be directed to become part of the sub-bases to ensure that distribution is more effective and on target,” explained Zico.
The government is committed to continuing to monitor and evaluate this policy to prevent misappropriation and ensure that the 3 kg LPG subsidy is truly enjoyed by the entitled community. With a more organized distribution system, the selling price is expected to remain in accordance with the Highest Retail Price (HET), and there will be no shortage in the market.
The public is also urged to participate in monitoring the distribution of 3 kg LPG gas and immediately report if they find price deviations or detrimental hoarding practices. With good collaboration between the government, Pertamina, and the public, this policy is expected to provide optimal benefits for all parties.
