In the rapidly developing digital era, the millennial generation has an important role in various aspects of life, including in overcoming social issues such as poverty. Not only are they required to be technologically literate, millennials are also expected to have high social awareness for the future of the nation. One of the programs that is currently in the spotlight is Free Nutritious Meals (MBG), according to the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs (Wamensos) Agus Jabo Priyono, this program not only aims to prepare the Golden Generation of 2045 but is also able to eradicate poverty while driving the regional economy.

MBG is not only about providing nutritious food to children and pregnant or breastfeeding mothers, but also creating a broad economic impact. With the flow of funds of IDR 6-7 billion to villages, economic opportunities at the local level are increasingly wide open. This can be utilized by village communities, including the younger generation, to contribute to community-based economic development.

President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that poverty alleviation must be a top priority. Therefore, in addition to MBG, the government is also accelerating community empowerment through the Family Hope Program (PKH) and other social assistance schemes. This effort aims to ensure that people do not only depend on assistance, but are also able to be independent and productive.

The central and regional governments also continue to strive to improve and update data on aid recipients so that there is no overlap and to ensure that those who really need it get maximum benefits. With the support of accurate data, the aid provision process can be more effective and efficient.

For the millennial generation, this is a golden opportunity to get involved in the local economic empowerment ecosystem. With digital expertise and extensive networks, millennials can help develop village MSMEs, utilize e-commerce platforms for marketing local products, and collaborate with communities to create social innovations.

Millennials who have an entrepreneurial spirit can also develop social business models that prioritize economic sustainability. For example, by establishing a startup that supports the distribution of local products or building a digital platform that connects farmers and small producers with a wider market. In addition, they can also support digital training programs and business management for village communities so that they have more competitive skills in the modern job market.

In addition to being beneficiaries, millennials can also be agents of change who help accelerate poverty alleviation in Indonesia. With the spirit of mutual cooperation, innovation, and utilization of technology, the younger generation can create a sustainable positive impact on the wider community.

In the context of mutual cooperation and community empowerment, millennials can play an important role in supporting the MBG program and other economic empowerment initiatives. The younger generation can be involved in various ways, such as volunteering in aid distribution, initiating technology-based social programs, or creating platforms that make it easier for people to gain access to economic resources.

Utilizing technology can accelerate the effectiveness of this program. For example, by building an application that can track the distribution of nutritious food, ensuring transparency of recipient data, and providing real-time reports on the effectiveness of the program. With digital innovation, it is hoped that the MBG program can be more targeted and able to reach more people in need.
In addition, technology can also be used to provide education to the public regarding the importance of nutrition, health, and economic independence. Digital campaigns through social media and educational applications can help increase public awareness of healthy lifestyles and the importance of building the local economy.

The success of MBG in maintaining the nutrition and health of future generations does not only depend on the government, but also on strong synergy between various parties. According to the Regent of Central Tapanuli, Masinton Pasaribu, one of the keys to the success of this program is the use of more accurate and transparent data. With a more integrated single data system, aid can be distributed precisely.
