Free Nutritious Meal Program a Major Investment for the Nation

Jakarta – The government continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving the quality of life of the community through the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, which is now one of the leading policies with a long-term impact on the nation’s economic growth.

This program not only ensures access to nutritious food for all levels of society, but also opens up great opportunities in creating jobs and increasing national productivity.

The President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, also emphasized his commitment to making Indonesia a modern and advanced country.

“We are determined to utilize all the great potential that the Indonesian nation has. The Free Nutritious Meal Program is one example of a long-term investment that will not only improve the quality of life of the community, but also strengthen the foundation of our country’s economy,” said President Prabowo.

Meanwhile, the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, revealed that his party had received an additional budget of IDR 100 trillion amidst the 2025 APBN budget efficiency efforts.

“This additional budget was obtained thanks to BGN’s achievements in meeting several strategic requirements, such as increasing employment, productivity, and innovation,” said Dadan.

On the other hand, the MBG program has also received appreciation from international circles. A researcher from the Kanagawa Institute of Technology, Naomi Aiba, Japan, stated that this program is extraordinary.

“Indonesia has shown extraordinary courage by implementing this program. “The solidarity between the government, the community, and related parties is an important asset in the success of this program,” said Naomi.

One of the main objectives of the MBG program is to ensure that every Indonesian citizen, especially children and vulnerable groups, can easily access nutritious food regardless of economic status.

This program is certain to improve the quality of public health which in turn will contribute directly to improving the quality of human resources in Indonesia. In the long term, the quality of superior human resources will be the key to driving sustainable national development.

With strong support from various parties, both from the government and the community, the MBG program can be the main driver for achieving a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia. In this joint effort, it is important for every individual to provide full support so that this program can run optimally, create a broad positive impact, and support the progress of the nation. []
