‘Dark Indonesia’ Action Only Creates Fear, Society is Urged Not to be Provoked

Indonesia is currently in an important phase in maintaining stability and progress amidst global uncertainty. However, mass actions carrying the ‘Dark Indonesia’ movement only create fear and rifts in society, which should remain focused on development. At times like this, this kind of provocation must be responded to firmly, in order to maintain the conduciveness that has been created in society.
President Prabowo Subianto openly expressed his optimism about the stable condition of the Indonesian economy even though the world is being hit by uncertainty. Indonesia’s low inflation and stable economic growth above the global average are a reflection of how resilient this country’s economy is.
According to him, despite the tough challenges, Indonesia’s economic fundamentals continue to show significant strength. This success cannot be separated from the government’s effective policies in maintaining economic balance.
However, amidst this optimism, provocative mass actions, such as those carried out by supporters of ‘Dark Indonesia’, will only lead to division. President Prabowo also emphasized the importance of vigilance against hoax news and divisive efforts that are often wrapped in incorrect information.
Such actions are not only detrimental to political and social stability, but also create a sense of fear that should not occur. The public must remain focused on efforts to build and maintain peace, not get caught up in detrimental provocations.
Paramadina University economist, Wijayanto Samirin, said that the government’s policy regarding food price stability carried out ahead of Ramadan is indeed worthy of appreciation.
However, he hopes that steps such as discounts and other economic policies should not only be implemented during certain periods, but throughout the year. He also suggested the importance of improving the sectoral ecosystem so as not to burden business actors, which will ultimately affect the long-term economy. This certainly requires careful policies and mature calculations, not instant steps that can increase tension in the midst of an uncertain situation.
Wijayanto emphasized the importance of sustainable policies to improve people’s purchasing power and encourage more consistent economic growth. When the government tries to reduce the cost of living for the community by providing discounts, this step must be balanced with a decrease in operational costs for business actors. Only then will the economy grow healthily, without causing tension in the market which can ultimately create turmoil.
Meanwhile, a member of Commission XIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the National Mandate Party (PAN) faction, Arisal Aziz, appreciated the budget efficiency policy taken by President Prabowo Subianto.
This efficiency step is considered very strategic, because it shows the government’s commitment to the interests of the community. Arisal emphasized that budget efficiency is a step to increase accountability in managing state finances. By reducing unproductive budgets, the government can allocate funds for priority programs that more directly touch the needs of the people.
Arisal also added that this budget efficiency policy will have a positive impact on sectors that do need more attention, such as the welfare of small communities and MSMEs.
Allocating a larger budget to these sectors will ensure that development is not only evenly distributed, but also provides maximum benefits. Through strict supervision from the Indonesian House of Representatives, it is hoped that this policy will run according to expectations and will not have a negative impact on other important sectors.
However, although the budget efficiency policy has positive goals, provocative actions carried out by certain mass groups will disrupt these efforts. Unfounded actions will only worsen the situation and damage the foundation of stability that has been built by the government and society. In facing challenges like this, all elements of the nation must unite to maintain peace and support government policies that side with the people.
Ultimately, it is very important for the community to respond to all forms of provocation with a wise attitude. Mass actions carrying ‘Dark Indonesia’ not only disrupt public order, but can also damage what has been achieved in maintaining political and economic stability. When the main focus should be on building the nation, the chaos created by this kind of provocation will only make things worse.
