Indonesian Economy Remains Stable, ‘Dark Indonesia’ Action is Just a Baseless Provocation
JAKARTA – The ‘Dark Indonesia’ call that has recently been voiced by a handful of parties is considered irrelevant. Because it is considered not in accordance with the current national situation which remains stable.
Regarding this, Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi considered that demonstrations are freedom of expression. However, he emphasized that demonstrators should be careful in responding to the situation and not distort the facts.
“Well, this is, yes, it’s called freedom of expression, but please once again, don’t distort what is actually not like that. There is no dark Indonesia,” said Prasteyo.
Furthermore, the Minister of State Secretary is of the view that Indonesia will rise in the future. He also invited all parties to be optimistic to welcome a brighter future.
“We will welcome Indonesia rising, We as a nation must be optimistic, must be optimistic, we are in the same boat, in the same ship, right,” he said.
The State Secretary also asked the public to give the Prabowo-Gibran government a chance to carry out the people’s mandate.
“So give the government led by Mr. Prabowo a chance, it’s only been 100 days, it’s only been a few months, there are so many problems, but you see that we are constantly looking for ways, looking for solutions, right? That it has not been able to please a party, maybe there are parties who still can’t accept it. For us, the government is normal,” he said.
Similarly, Member of Commission XIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Arisal Aziz, assessed that the government’s budget efficiency policy deserves appreciation.
According to him, the policy reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring more effective use of the budget and according to the people’s needs.
“This budget efficiency will accelerate development and improve people’s welfare,” he said.
Therefore, mass actions claiming an economic crisis in Indonesia do not have a strong basis.
On the contrary, government policies have shown real evidence in maintaining national economic stability and growth. (*)
