Supporting the Inauguration of Regional Leaders is a Form of Democratic Maturity

Jakarta – Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Bima Arya Sugiarto said that the simultaneous inauguration of regional heads will be held on February 20, 2025 at the State Palace, Jakarta. This inauguration is an important moment in the sustainability of government at the regional level.

With the appointment of new leaders, the public’s hopes for progress are increasing.

Therefore, support for the inauguration process is not just a formality, but also reflects the maturity of democracy. Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Bima Arya Sugiarto, ensured that the inauguration of regional heads will take place on February 20, 2025 at the State Palace, Jakarta.

In the agenda, as many as 481 regional heads will be sworn in directly by President Prabowo Subianto.

“The inauguration, God willing, will be held at the State Palace at ten in the morning,” said Bima.

Before the inauguration procession, the regional heads had participated in a dress rehearsal and dress rehearsal on February 18-19, 2025.

In the session, they received technical guidance regarding the inauguration procession and the procedures for the ceremony that would take place.

The General Chairperson of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI), Roy Jinto, emphasized his party’s readiness to maintain conducive conditions during the inauguration of regional heads.

According to him, a smooth inauguration will affect the government system, including in terms of workers’ welfare.

“Soon the inauguration of regional heads led by President Prabowo will take place. We are ready to ensure conducive conditions in the West Java region,” said Roy.

Roy also emphasized the importance of the role of labor groups in maintaining the smooth running of the new government, especially those related to workers’ rights.

He considered that if stability is maintained, then government policies that favor workers’ welfare can run well.

“We are all present with the aim that the government system related to workers’ welfare runs as desired,” he continued.

He also invited the entire community to maintain security during the inauguration process.

According to him, coordination between labor groups, the community, and security forces is very important to anticipate potential friction that could occur in several regions.

On the other hand, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (KSAU), Marshal Tonny, emphasized that his party had prepared security measures to ensure that the inauguration runs safely and orderly.

“We maintain national stability and security. This includes ensuring the smoothness and success of securing the inauguration of the new regional heads that will take place,” said Tonny.

In the official press release of the Indonesian Air Force, it was explained that securing the inauguration of regional heads is part of an effort to maintain political stability and national conduciveness.
