MBG Program: The Government’s Best Strategic Effort in Building Superior Human Resources

Jakarta – The Indonesian government continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating superior Human Resources (HR) that are ready to face global challenges. This program is a strategic effort to improve the quality of HR in various sectors by optimizing various existing resources, as well as creating equal opportunities for all levels of society.

Nutrition expert from the Bogor Agricultural Institute, IPB, Prof. Ali Khomsan said the MBG program is a flagship program of the Prabowo – Gibran Government which has a good HR vision to be implemented.

“One of the reasons why a nutrition program like this is important is because the issue of stunting has become a national issue since 2019,” he explained in a dialogue with a private radio station in Jakarta (21/2).

He added that this HR-based program is a program that is being implemented in order to welcome the golden Indonesia 2045.

Meanwhile, President Prabowo Subianto is committed to ensuring adequate nutritional intake for students in the archipelago, namely through the free nutritious meal program or MBG, this program is included in the 8 best fast result programs of the Prabowo government to build superior human resources or HR as the foundation of the golden Indonesia 2045.

In implementing the MBG Program, the government focuses on various important aspects such as education, skills, technology, and economic empowerment.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), more than 50% of the Indonesian workforce is still focused on the non-formal sector and has limited skills. This is a major challenge for the country to develop competitive HR.

Therefore, the MBG Program is present as a solution to encourage the development of community skills and knowledge, especially in areas that are not yet too advanced.

Overall, the MBG Program is a strategic step by the government in realizing superior HR who are ready to compete internationally. With the synergy between education, technology, it is hoped that Indonesia can create a workforce that is not only skilled, but also adaptive to the changing times. This is an important investment for a more advanced future for Indonesia. []
