President Prabowo Inaugurates 961 Regional Heads, Synergy with the Center is the Key to the Effectiveness of Advanced Indonesia
Jakarta – As many as 961 regional heads were officially inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto in a historic procession at the State Palace, Jakarta, Thursday (20/2). The inauguration, which included 33 governors and deputy governors, 363 regents and 362 deputy regents, and 85 mayors and deputy mayors, marked a new chapter in regional governance in Indonesia.
“Marking a new chapter in regional governance in Indonesia,” said Deputy for Protocol, Press, and Media of the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana.
As part of a broader government, the newly inaugurated regional heads are expected to implement policies that are in line with national programs under President Prabowo’s leadership. Consistency between regional and central policies is considered crucial to support development and maintain stability in various sectors.
Lampung Police Chief, Inspector General Helmy Santika, emphasized the importance of maintaining public security and order after the inauguration. He emphasized that synergy between regional heads and related agencies must be strengthened in order to support development policies and public welfare.
“If there are programs that are in line with regional government programs, this must be communicated so that it can be synergized between the government and related agencies in Lampung,” he said.
Similar support was also conveyed to the elected Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, and all regional heads in the province. Inspector General Helmy invited all elements of society to fully support the new leadership for the progress of the region.
“Let us join hands, embrace each other, and support the policies of the governor and deputy governor that provide great benefits for the people of Lampung,” he added.
In Riau, Acting Governor Rahman Hadi also emphasized the importance of support from state civil apparatus (ASN) for the new regional government. He emphasized that every regional policy must be in line with the national program to ensure sustainable development.
“There are several things that the central government is paying attention to, one of which is adjusting regional programs to match national programs in accordance with Astacita,” explained Rahman Hadi.
According to him, ASN has an obligation to work professionally in supporting the implementation of development programs in the regions. He emphasized that the leadership transition must be addressed with full readiness and support.
“I hope we provide full support for the implementation of development programs in Riau Province,” he said.
With the inauguration of this regional head, great hopes are focused on the continuity of policies between the regional and central governments. Full support from all elements of society and related agencies is the key to realizing a more advanced and prosperous Indonesia.
