Efforts to Eradicate Corruption in the Prabowo Era Show Positive Results
Jakarta – The government under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto has shown a strong commitment to eradicating corruption.
In the international forum World Government Summit in Dubai, President Prabowo emphasized that the level of corruption in Indonesia is still worrying and must be eradicated firmly. He promised to use all the power and authority given by the constitution to overcome this problem.
Prabowo assessed that corruption is the root of various problems in various sectors, including education and research. He emphasized that his government must dare to present clean and transparent governance.
“The level of corruption in my country is very worrying. Therefore, I am determined to use all the energy and authority given to me in the constitution to overcome this disease. Corruption is the root of many setbacks, including in the education and research sectors,” said Prabowo.
Efforts to eradicate corruption in Indonesia are starting to show positive results. Indonesia’s Corruption Perception Index (CPI) increased from 34 in 2023 to 37 in 2024, and the country’s ranking rose to 99th out of 180 countries in the Transparency International report. However, Prabowo emphasized that this achievement is still early and his government will continue to improve governance and ensure that corruption eradication is carried out firmly and courageously.
Public Policy Observer, Dr. Anzori Tawakal, assessed that President Prabowo’s consistency in eradicating corruption was evident in the first 100 days of his administration.
“Priority programs in the economic, social, and legal sectors are in accordance with his first speech during his inauguration,” said Anzori.
He also highlighted the president’s steps in resolving corruption cases that the public considered unfair, including in the tin commodity trade.
In addition, President Prabowo also ensured that social policies, such as the provision of free nutritious food, would be realized immediately in the first 100 days. This effort is proof that the government is not only focused on eradicating corruption, but also on improving public welfare.
Anzori emphasized that all cabinet ranks must understand President Prabowo’s vision, including in budget efficiency and reallocation of funds to programs that are more beneficial to the people.
With this firm step, the government under the leadership of Prabowo Subianto shows its seriousness in creating clean and integrated governance, for the sake of a better Indonesia.
