Retreat Program Efforts to Align Vision and Mission with President Prabowo
Jakarta – In an effort to align the vision and mission between the central and regional governments, a regional head retreat was held on February 21-28, 2025. This event was attended by regional heads from the 2024 Pilkada at the Military Academy (Akmil) Magelang, Central Java, where the President and Cabinet previously held a retreat.
Chairman of Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Muhammad Rifqinizamy Karsayuda emphasized the importance of this retreat as a forum for regional heads to convey their aspirations and input. According to him, this activity not only aims to synchronize central government programs with regions, but also as a two-way communication forum to ensure that policies implemented in the regions do not deviate from national goals.
“I certainly hope that the retreat held for the next 8-9 days will not only be in the context of synchronizing central and regional programs, but also a forum for regions to convey various inputs and aspirations that we can eventually make a ‘tabulation’,” said Rifqinizamy.
Nevertheless, Rifqinizamy emphasized that regional governments must also be given space to implement autonomous policies. He invited all parties to think positively in building relations between the central and regional governments to remain harmonious and effective.
“I believe that what has happened up to this second because we in Commission II of the Indonesian House of Representatives are in charge of regional government affairs, is a desire to ensure that various central programs can be implemented properly, correctly by the regions. Including so that the regions do not arbitrarily ‘use’ their autonomous authority,” he added.
This retreat includes various activities such as physical training, strategy discussions, and intensive briefings. It is hoped that regional heads who participate in this program can better understand and implement national policies properly, so that development in the regions can run in line with the direction of national development promoted by President Prabowo.
This retreat activity is divided into two waves, to ensure the effectiveness and optimization of the expected results. With this program, the government hopes that regional heads have the same understanding in implementing work programs and maintaining government stability at the regional level.
In addition, this activity is also a forum for building networks and collaboration between regional heads to share experiences and best practices in managing regional government effectively and efficiently. With strong synergy, it is hoped that all regions can contribute optimally in supporting national policies for the progress of the nation.
