Papuan Youth Figures Appreciate Government Efforts to Realize Food Security in Papua

Papua – President Prabowo’s government has made Merauke a central point as a strategy to realize national food security through the food barn program. The food barn program in Merauke has received a lot of support and appreciation from various elements of society.

The General Chairperson of the DPP Pemuda Saireri Papua, Gifli Buinei, expressed his appreciation to President Prabowo Subianto who has determined Merauke Regency as a national food barn area.

“The determination of Merauke Regency as a national food barn is due to several factors. First, the area or agricultural land in Merauke is large. Then, Merauke’s land is fertile and has a good climate,” said Gifli.

Gifli assessed that the determination of Merauke Regency as a national food barn was the right step taken by President Prabowo Subianto.

The Papuan people have high hopes for the food barn program in Merauke. This is because the program is considered to have a positive impact or very large benefits for the welfare of the community and the progress of Papua.

“As a young person, I hope that Merauke Regency will be designated as a national food barn area. This is a good step that can then have an impact on the local community and Papua in general,” said Gifli.

This Papuan youth figure appealed to all levels of society, especially in Papua, to participate in supporting the government in overseeing the food barn program in Merauke.

“The food barn program in Merauke cannot run well if it does not receive support from the Papuan people and the younger generation. Therefore, the national food security program must receive support from the younger generation and the community,” explained Gifli.

The support of the Papuan people is very important for the sustainability of the program so that the impact of the program can change the economy of the Papuan people for the better. In addition, the Papuan people also have good food security.

As a young generation of Papua, Gifli hopes that the process of realizing the national food barn program must involve the Papuan people.
