President: Danantara Focuses on Downstream, Bauxite, Nickel Copper and Artificial Intelligence Data Center

Jakarta – Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) was officially launched by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto today, Monday (24/2/2025). The President conveyed the first wave of investment allocated to Danantara amounting to IDR 300 trillion or around 20 billion US dollars.

This amount is the money that was successfully secured in 100 days of performance.

“We managed to secure more than IDR 300 trillion, almost 20 billion US dollars in the form of savings. Funds that were previously hampered by inefficiency, corruption and inappropriate spending,” explained the President.

In the launch of Danantara, President Prabowo Subianto said funds will be allocated to approximately 20 national strategic projects that focus on downstreaming to create added value, including nickel, bauxite, oil refineries, copper and the construction of artificial intelligence data centers.

“The first wave of investment worth 20 billion US dollars, approximately 20 strategic projects worth billions of dollars will focus on downstream nickel, bauxite, copper, development of artificial intelligence data centers,” said Prabowo.

The President further conveyed oil refineries, petrochemical factories, food and protein production, and renewable energy. This is the sector that will determine the future of the nation, the resilience and independence of the nation.

The launch of Danantara also carries a message of transparency, accountability and professionalism as the main foundation for investment management in order to realize inclusive and highly competitive economic growth.

Deputy Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers Christina Aryani said that there has never been a previous era. Great hopes are given for Danantara to run smoothly for the progress of a more inclusive Indonesia.

“There has never been a previous era, this is the first by President Prabowo. We pray that Danantara runs smoothly for Indonesia to advance forward,” said Deputy Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers Christina Aryani after attending the launch of Danantara.

Meanwhile, Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Andri Rosadi said that Danantara is a new hope, it can open up millions of jobs.

“Encouraging the opening of employment opportunities and economic growth, this is the focus of the Danantara Investment Management Agency with hard work and professionalism,” he continued. ***
