President Prabowo Encourages Transparency and Professionalism in Danantara Management

Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of transparent and professional management of Danantara Indonesia as the key to driving the revival of the national economy. In the Danantara Indonesia 2025 Town Hall Meeting entitled “Strengthening Collaboration and New Direction of BUMN” held at the Jakarta Convention Center. When delivering his direction in front of 1,500 BUMN leaders, Prabowo emphasized that Danantara is a strategic asset that must be managed with full responsibility.

“Danantara is the wealth of the Indonesian nation. It must be guarded and maintained with a very strict and transparent system. This is extraordinary wealth that can drive our revival,” Prabowo emphasized.

As a BUMN super holding, Danantara has a large mandate in managing seven state-owned companies that are the backbone of the national economy, namely Bank Mandiri, BRI, BNI, PLN, Telkom Indonesia, Pertamina, and MIND ID. Prabowo is optimistic that through clean and focused management, Danantara can become a driving force for long-term economic growth.

The President also emphasized the importance of management reform within BUMN. He requested that all directors be evaluated objectively based on their integrity, performance, and contribution to the company’s progress. He reminded that changing directors is not merely about replacing people, but rather finding the best from the nation’s sons and daughters without discrimination

“Leave behind old, inefficient practices. If there are any deviations, or underachievements, they must be replaced. Don’t choose based on ethnicity, religion, race, or political party. What’s important is that they are professional and willing to work as hard as possible for the people,” he said.

In the initial stage, Danantara will manage investments worth 20 billion US dollars for strategic sectors such as nickel, copper, and bauxite downstreaming, data center and artificial intelligence development, oil refineries, petrochemical plants, and renewable energy and food production projects. This ambitious agenda shows Danantara’s potential to become the main catalyst for Indonesia’s economic transformation towards industrial independence and energy security.

With a strong commitment from the government, full support from BUMN professionals, and a policy direction that supports the interests of the people, Danantara Indonesia is expected to be able to significantly change the face of the national economy in the next few years.*
