Free Nutritious Meals in Papua Strategic Step to Realize the Golden Generation 2045

Papua – The Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program initiated by the Indonesian National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is an important milestone in improving the nutritional quality of the Papuan people, especially children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers.

A Papuan Community Leader, Esau Tegai, emphasized his full support for the MBG program as a strategic effort to create a healthy next generation that has the potential to become a pillar of progress for Papua and Indonesia towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.

As a community leader in Jayapura Regency, Esau Tegai expressed his high appreciation for the launch of the MBG program which is focused on overcoming nutritional problems in the Papua region.

“We strongly support the government’s efforts through the National Nutrition Agency which has presented this Free Nutritious Meals program as a fundamental step to improve the nutritional status of the people in Papua,” said Esau.

Esau emphasized that nutritional problems are a major challenge that must be addressed seriously so that the Papuan generation can grow strong and healthy.

“This is not just about providing food, but investing in the future of the nation. A healthy and intelligent generation will be the foundation for equitable development of Papua and Indonesia,” explained Esau.

The MBG program targets children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers, groups that are vulnerable to malnutrition. By providing free access to nutritious food, the government hopes to create a positive synergy between health efforts and human resource development.

“Through strong collaboration between the government, the community, and the private sector, we hope that this program can achieve its targets effectively,” added Esau.

Furthermore, Esau Tegai stated that the success of the MBG program will have a direct impact on achieving the ideals of Indonesia Emas 2045.

“Papua as an integral part of Indonesia must actively contribute to national development by producing a healthy, intelligent, and globally competitive generation,” said Esau.

As a community leader, Esau also invited all levels of society in Papua to support and be actively involved in this program. The success of this program is not only the responsibility of the government, but also the community and other stakeholders.
