Post-Hajj Peak, Minister of Religious Affairs Appreciates Officers and Pilgrims: Proof of Commitment to the Best Service
Makkah – Minister of Religious Affairs (Menag) Nasaruddin Umar, expressed his appreciation to the officers and also Indonesian hajj pilgrims after the peak of the hajj pilgrimage in 2025. The success of the implementation of the hajj pilgrimage this year reflects the commitment of the officers in providing their best service to all of Allah SWT’s Guests.
“The implementation of the 2025 hajj actually faces a big challenge due to changes in the service system from the Saudi Arabian government,” he said.
If in previous years there was only one company (syarikah) that managed the service, but in 2025 it increased to eight, making coordination and supervision difficult. However, this can be overcome thanks to the hard work of all Indonesian hajj officers who are able to continue to adapt quickly.
“Alhamdulillah, one by one the problems we faced yesterday have been resolved well. Although of course there are still some things that need to be improved,” said Nasaruddin while performing the obligatory Umrah in Mecca.
The Minister of Religion said that the officers were able to make breakthroughs and also take strategic steps in dealing with the complexity of problems and issues in the field.
“Of course with all the consequences. But thank God, because of the genius of the friends who work here, they were able to carry out ijtihad that was quite brave and breakthrough,” he said.
On the other hand, the Head of the Saudi Arabian Hajj Pilgrimage Organizing Officer (PPIH), Muchlis Muhammad Hanafi, directly reviewed the services at Amir Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz Airport, Medina.
He also appreciated the airport officers who have so far given special attention to disabled and elderly pilgrims.
“Continue to be committed to providing excellent service to Indonesian hajj pilgrims,” Muchlis said to officers at the Fast Track Terminal.
Likewise, Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives Hajj Supervisory Team, Muhammad Husni, also gave a positive assessment of the improvement in hajj services in 2025. Husni also praised the alertness of transportation officers and the orderliness of the congregation, thus supporting the smooth running of the hajj pilgrimage as a whole.
“Catering until today is all smooth, the hotel is also one room for four people, in fact in some places I saw only two people,” he said after reviewing the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic. (*)
