A Calm, Firm, and Proven Figure, Dewi Puspitorini in the UI Alumni Association Chairperson Election

Depok — The election for Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (Iluni UI) for 2025–2028 has entered the campaign phase. Of the seven candidates who have passed the verification process, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P., MARS., M.H., has attracted the attention of many alumni due to her long track record in the healthcare industry.

Dewi is a 1987 alumna of the UI Faculty of Medicine and currently serves as a CVC Specialist at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital (RSPAD). Her medical career is nothing new to UI alumni. She is known as a diligent and dedicated figure, with experience managing healthcare professionals at strategic healthcare institutions.

Throughout her career, Dewi has held important positions such as Sub-SMF Grade IV/Neuromuscular Colonel at the Medical Rehab Unit and Director of Profnakes RSPAD. She also completed her master’s degree in KARS UI and previously worked as a pulmonology specialist, graduating from UI in 2005. For many FKUI alumni, Dewi is not only a senior figure but also a role model in upholding the values of integrity and social responsibility.

The Chairperson of the UI Alumni Association for the 2022–2025 term, Didit Ratam, emphasized the importance of continuing the UI Alumni Association programs that have been running well in the previous term. He hopes that the incoming leadership will be able to maintain the spirit of collaboration across faculties, professions, and generations of alumni.

“The role of UI alumni must be a catalyst for fellow alumni, their alma mater, the nation, and the state,” said Didit.

Didit is also optimistic that this excellent program can be continued.

“I hope the programs that have been running well during the 2022–2025 term can be continued.”

Dewi, who received number 6 in the candidate draw, attended the peace declaration attended by all the candidates for chairman and their campaign teams. The event, held at the UI Faculty of Medicine, served as a platform to strengthen the commitment to a healthy and productive campaign.

The Head of the 2025 UI Alumni Election Committee, Yunadi Ramlan, stated that this year’s alumni enthusiasm was very high.

“This is evident, at least, from the number of alumni who collected registration forms for candidate chairman, which amounted to 16, and 7 who returned them,” he explained.

He hopes this participation trend will continue through the e-vote on August 23-24, 2025. Meanwhile, the campaign period is scheduled to run from July 19 to August 17, with a debate of ideas on August 2 and 12.

Dr. Dewi Puspitorini’s name is increasingly being recognized, not only for her professional background, but also for her consistent spirit of service, from her time in college to now becoming one of Indonesia’s strategic health figures.
