Jakarta—The election for the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period is heating up. One candidate attracting widespread attention is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P., MARS, familiarly known as Mbak Dewi.

Having officially registered with the ILUNI UI Direct Election Committee (Pemila), Dewi attended with broad support from alumni of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (FKUI) and across faculties at the UI Rectorate Building in Salemba, Jakarta.

Using the tagline “U&I Together, U and I Become Us,” Dewi conveyed her vision of building an Alumni Association of the University of Indonesia (ILUNI UI) that is united, progressive, inclusive, and has a real impact on alumni, alma mater, and the nation, leading to a Golden Indonesia 2045. In her vision, she emphasized five strategic missions that directly address the needs of alumni and the community.

The first mission, Total Digitalization of the ILUNI System, aims to make this alumni organization modern, efficient, and connected 24/7 through the UI Connect platform. Second, Strengthening the Global Alumni Network so that the potential of UI alumni worldwide can be forged in real collaboration. Third, Sustainable Alumni Empowerment focuses on alumni welfare, mental health, and careers.

The fourth mission, Real Contribution to Indonesia, emphasizes strengthening the role of alumni in measurable national development. The fifth mission, Empowering Indonesian Women, aims to strengthen women’s leadership and equality, starting from the UI alumni community.

“ILUNI UI must be an example of a transparent, accountable, and inclusive alumni organization. With over 300,000 UI alumni spread across various strategic sectors, our potential contribution to the nation is enormous. What is needed is an effective collaboration platform and leadership with a long-term vision,” emphasized Dr. Dewi.

Dewi is known for her close relationship with both alumni and students. Her down-to-earth and communicative style makes her a bridge across generations. The Chairperson of ILUNI FKUI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan reaffirmed his support for Dewi.
