Jakarta – Alumni Association of UI Chairperson Candidate Brigadier General (Ret.) Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, SpP, MARS, or more familiarly known as Mba Dewi Puspitorini, continues to receive support from various parties, from the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Medicine, UI, to ALUNI UI across faculties.
This is evident in the support expressed through the Instagram account taufikjamaan: “Come on, fellow UI alumni. Let’s support Mba Dewi @drdewi_puspitorini to become the new Alumni Association Chairperson. So that Alumni UI can progress more, be more united, and have a greater impact on alumni. Because UI is for Indonesia. #Pemila #Fun and Democratic.”
Furthermore, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, Chairperson of Alumni Association of the Faculty of Medicine, UI, stated that his organization fully supports Mba Dewi as Chairperson of Alumni Association of UI. “As Chairperson of the ALUNI FKUI, I invite all parties who agree with Dr. Dewi’s struggle and programs to support this initiative. She has an outstanding track record and a vision that aligns with the needs of today’s UI alumni,” said Dr. Wawan.
Furthermore, the ALUNI FKUI has officially formed a Dr. Dewi Success Team, involving alumni from various classes and fields of expertise. This team will work professionally to disseminate Dr. Dewi’s vision and mission to all UI alumni in Indonesia and abroad.
Mbak Dewi also has a holistic vision and mission, embracing the campaign tagline “U&I Together, U and I Become Us,” through the vision to “Build a UI ALUNI that is united, progressive, inclusive, and has a real impact on alumni, the UI alma mater, and the nation’s progress, towards GOLDEN INDONESIA 2045.”
This vision is translated into five strategic missions:
- Total Digitalization of the ALUNI System – Transforming the ALUNI UI into a modern and efficient digital organization, maximizing the UI Connect platform as a vibrant digital ecosystem.
- Strengthening the Global Alumni Network – Building a strong network not only in Indonesia, but also with UI alumni spread across various countries for strategic collaboration.
- Sustainable Alumni Empowerment Program – Focusing on well-being and health as a fundamental right for alumni, strengthening careers and employment opportunities for alumni, including mental health programs, which are important issues for millennials and Gen Z.
- Real Contribution to a Healthier and More Prosperous Indonesia – Optimizing the potential of UI alumni to contribute to national development through measurable and impactful programs.
- Indonesian Women’s Empowerment Program – Starting with UI alumni, this program includes women’s leadership development, access to capital, and advocacy for gender equality.
It should be noted that Dewi Puspitorini has extensive experience combining public service and medical expertise. As a retired Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Brigadier General, she has a strong leadership track record, with disciplined and results-oriented principles. Her expertise as a pulmonary and respiratory specialist, coupled with her Master’s degree in Hospital Administration (MARS), provides a deep understanding of complex organizational management and public service. Dewi’s leadership characteristics, known for “working quietly,” are considered highly suited to the needs of the UI Alumni Association, which requires a substantial leader focused on tangible results rather than mere popularity.
Meanwhile, in a statement to the media, Dewi also emphasized her commitment to implementing good organizational governance as the foundation for achieving the UI Alumni Association’s vision of a modern and impactful organization.
“Let’s Unite Our Steps, Unite Our Mission, and build a united, progressive, inclusive UI Alumni Association that will have a real impact on all UI alumni and their alma mater,” she concluded.
