Dr. Dewi Puspitorini’s Vision Brings a Bright Future to the Alumni Association of the University of Indonesia
Jakarta – The election process for the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period is entering a crucial period. One candidate who has attracted attention is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P., M.A.R.S., M.H., a pulmonologist known for her inclusive leadership and track record of dedication in the healthcare sector.
Using the tagline “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us,” Dr. Dewi projects ILUNI UI as a united, progressive, and inclusive organization, with a tangible impact on alumni, their alma mater, and the nation’s progress towards Indonesia Emas 2045. She emphasized the importance of transparent, accountable, and adaptive organizational governance to the challenges of the times.
This vision is embodied in five strategic missions: total digitalization of the ILUNI system, strengthening the global alumni network, sustainable empowerment of alumni, especially in the areas of welfare and health, real contributions to a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia, and an empowerment program for Indonesian women starting from the UI alumni community.
“ILUNI UI must be a big home for all alumni, a place to exchange ideas, grow together, and make real contributions,” said Dewi.
Through the UI Connect platform, she plans to build a digital ecosystem that is active and connected 24/7, facilitating cross-sector collaboration without the constraints of space and time.
Support for Dewi has come from various parties. The General Chair of ILUNI FKUI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, views Dewi as a figure capable of uniting across faculties and generations.
“She has a vision and experience that are relevant to the needs of today’s alumni organization,” Wawan said.
Dewi also places special emphasis on gender equality. She believes women have a strategic role that needs to be expanded in leadership. Through the women’s leadership program, Dewi encourages the active involvement of female alumni in various sectors of national development.
As a pulmonary specialist with leadership experience in various healthcare institutions, Dewi combines managerial skills with social awareness. Her track record demonstrates a consistent prioritization of integrity, collaboration, and tangible results.
The election for the Chairperson of the UI Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) will be held via e-voting on August 23–24, 2025. For alumni, this moment is an opportunity to elect a leader capable of mobilizing more than 300,000 UI alumni to become a significant force for the nation’s progress. Running for candidate number 6, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini offers a more progressive, inclusive, and impactful future for the UI Alumni Association (ILUNI UI).
