With Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, the UI Alumni Association is Ready to Realize Unity and Innovation in 2025
Jakarta – The election for the Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (Ketum Iluni UI) for the 2025–2028 period has entered a crucial phase, with the emergence of potential figures ready to take the organization in a new direction. One candidate who has received widespread attention from various alumni groups is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, a 1987 alumna of the UI Faculty of Medicine. Embracing a collaborative spirit in her vision titled “U&I Guyub: U and I Become Us,” Dewi is committed to making the UI Alumni Association a shared home that is inclusive, progressive, and has a real impact on all its members and the nation.
In her statement, Dewi stated that the UI Alumni Association must be open and adaptive to changing times. She believes that the power of UI alumni is immense and, if synergized effectively, can make significant contributions at the national and global levels.
“The UI Alumni Association must become a collaborative platform capable of harnessing the positive energy of alumni for the advancement of the nation,” she said.
Dewi’s experience in healthcare and organizational matters makes her a familiar figure among alumni. She served as the personal physician to the Minister of Health and the First Lady, and held various strategic positions within the RSPAD. Furthermore, Dewi is also active as the General Secretary of the Indonesian Medical Faculty Alumni Association (FIAKSI), demonstrating her capacity and capability in leading a large organization.
Support for Dewi’s candidacy came from various parties. She also received support from alumni from across faculties and generations, including those from abroad, who viewed Dewi as a visionary and virtuous figure. The General Chair of the FKUI Alumni Association, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, expressed his confidence in Dewi’s abilities.
“We at the FKUI Alumni Association fully support her efforts to steer the UI Alumni Association in a better direction,” Wawan stated.
Meanwhile, the General Chair of the UI Alumni Association for the 2022–2025 period, Didit Ratam, also expressed his appreciation for the dynamics of this year’s election and expressed his hope that the next leader would maintain the continuity of strategic programs. Meanwhile, Yunadi Ramlan, Chair of the Organizing Committee for the 2025 UI Alumni Election, stated that alumni enthusiasm this time reached a record high.
“Of the 16 applicants, seven candidates have passed verification and are ready to begin the campaign period,” he said.
Voting will be conducted digitally through the UI Connect app on August 23-24, 2025. The election results will be announced at the 10th UI Alumni National Conference (Munas) on August 24, 2025. With an inclusive spirit, values-based leadership, and extensive experience in service, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini is considered a strong figure capable of leading the UI Alumni toward a future filled with unity and innovation.
