Dewi Puspitorini Ready to Carve a Bright Future for ILUNI UI with an Inclusive Vision
Jakarta – The University of Indonesia alumni organization (ILUNI UI) is preparing for the election of a new chairman in the upcoming General Election (Pemila). One figure who has attracted attention is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P., M.A.R.S., M.H., who officially declared her readiness to run for ILUNI UI chairman, championing an inclusive and transformational vision.
With the tagline “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us,” Dr. Dewi offers a collaborative leadership approach that empowers all alumni across faculties and generations. Dewi emphasized the importance of transparent, accountable, and adaptive organizational governance to the challenges of the times.
“ILUNI UI must be a big home for all alumni, a place to exchange ideas, grow together, and make real contributions,” she said.
Dewi formulated her vision into five strategic missions: total digitization of the ILUNI system, strengthening the global alumni network, sustainable empowerment, especially in the welfare and health aspects of alumni, contributing to a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia, and empowering Indonesian women, starting from within the UI alumni community itself.
Dewi’s efforts have received support from various alumni groups. The Chairman of ILUNI, Faculty of Medicine, UI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, expressed his confidence in Dewi’s abilities. “She has a vision and experience relevant to the needs of today’s alumni organization. She is a figure capable of uniting across faculties and generations,” he said.
Furthermore, the current Chairman of ILUNI UI, Didit Ratam, also emphasized the importance of active participation of all alumni in the Student Election (Pemila) as a manifestation of organizational democracy. According to him, the exchange of ideas is a crucial process in determining leaders capable of implementing concrete and sustainable programs.
“This exchange of ideas is not only about ideas, but also about execution skills, leadership, and collaborative engagement in implementing real programs,” Didit said.
In a broader context, Dewi’s inclusive and progressive vision aligns with the national policy direction toward Golden Indonesia 2045. The active role of university alumni in national development is considered increasingly crucial, particularly in filling strategic positions in various sectors, both domestically and globally.
Dewi’s initiative to build global alumni connectivity and create a healthy and prosperous ecosystem has also received attention. This initiative is believed to strengthen the role of the ALUNI UI (University of Indonesia Alumni Association) not only as a forum for nostalgia, but also as a strategic partner in national development, in line with the collaborative spirit between civil society and the government.
