Dr. Dewi Puspitorini Promotes a United and Progressive Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) in the 2025 Election
Jakarta — Dr. Dewi Puspitorini has officially nominated herself as Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period, championing the vision of ILUNI UI as a united, progressive, and inclusive community. Through the tagline “U&I United, U and I Become Us,” Dewi aims to build a solid alumni ecosystem and make a real contribution to her alma mater and the nation’s progress toward a Golden Indonesia 2045.
As a pulmonologist with a track record of leadership in various healthcare institutions, Dewi offers concrete ideas to transform ILUNI UI into a modern and impactful alumni organization.
She outlined this vision in five strategic missions: total digitalization of ILUNI UI, strengthening the global alumni network, alumni welfare and health programs, contributing to a healthier and more prosperous Indonesia, and empowering women through leadership.
“The UI Alumni Association must be a big home for all alumni, a place to exchange ideas, grow together, and make real contributions,” said Dewi.
She emphasized the importance of organizational governance that is transparent, accountable, and adaptive to the challenges of the times.
Dewi also places special emphasis on gender equality. Through the women’s leadership program, she encourages the involvement of female alumni in various development sectors.
For her, empowering women within the UI alumni community is a strategic step towards developing new, globally competitive leaders.
With a progressive vision and concrete work program, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini encourages all UI alumni to elect leaders capable of making the UI Alumni Association a major force for the nation.
“Now is the time for U and I to become Us,” Dewi concluded.
Support for Dewi continues to grow from various alumni groups. The General Chair of the FKUI Alumni Association, Wawan Mulyawan, described Dewi as a unifying figure capable of bridging across faculties and generations.
“She has a vision and experience that are relevant to the needs of today’s alumni organizations,” he said.
With candidate number 6, Dewi is one of seven candidates for the position of Chairperson of the ALUNI UI (University of Indonesia Student Association) for the 2025-2028 term. She is competing against alumni from various faculties, but her superior vision and experience make her a figure believed to be capable of mobilizing more than 300,000 UI alumni to unite and contribute more broadly.
The election for the ALUNI UI Chairperson will be held via e-voting through the UI Connect app on August 23-24, 2025. This digital system is part of ALUNI UI’s commitment to building a modern and inclusive democratic tradition.
