Dr. Dewi Puspitorini Promotes Inclusive and Collaborative Spirit in 2025 ILUNI UI Election
Jakarta – The election for Chair of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 term has entered a crucial stage. One candidate who has captured public attention is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P., M.A.R.S., M.H., a pulmonary specialist widely known for her leadership in the health sector and her involvement in various social movements.
In her candidacy, Dr. Dewi champions a bold vision to make ILUNI UI a united, progressive, inclusive, and impactful organization. Not only for alumni and alma mater, but also for the development of the nation towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.
“ILUNI UI must be an example of a transparent, accountable, and inclusive organization. With more than 300,000 UI alumni, we have great power to build the nation. What is needed is leadership capable of uniting and building an effective collaboration platform,” she said.
The campaign tagline, “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us,” reflects the collective spirit, equality, and togetherness across generations and faculties within the UI alumni community.
“Guyub” is not just about togetherness, but the strength to move forward collectively, she added in an interview with Pepnews.
To realize her vision, Dr. Dewi has prepared a strategy that includes the total digitalization of ILUNI through optimizing UI Connect, strengthening the global alumni network in an inclusive manner, and empowering alumni in aspects of mental health, careers, and well-being. She also encourages concrete alumni contributions to social issues, particularly in the fields of health and education, and is committed to expanding the role of women in alumni leadership.
The inclusive ideas and approaches promoted by Dr. Dewi received a positive response from various parties. The General Chair of the ALUNI FKUI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, stated that Dr. Dewi possesses a strong vision and credible leadership experience.
“She has an outstanding track record and a vision that aligns with the needs of today’s UI alumni,” said Dr. Wawan.
Similarly, the General Chair of ALUNI UI for the 2022–2025 period, Didit Ratam, welcomed the spirit of sustainability that is part of Dr. Dewi’s platform.
“The role of alumni is vital as a catalyst for national development. Consistency and continuity of programs will be an added value,” explained Didit.
The election of the General Chair of ALUNI UI for the 2025–2028 period will be held via e-voting on August 23–24, 2025, and the results will be announced and ratified at the 10th ALUNI UI National Conference, held on August 24, 2025. Dewi invites all UI alumni, from various generations and backgrounds, to unite in the spirit of togetherness and collaboration, in order to realize a more inclusive, adaptive, and relevant UI Alumni Association to face the challenges of the times. *
