Dewi Puspitorini Encourages UI Alumni Association to Become a Pillar of National Progress

Jakarta – The election for Chair of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period is certain to be fierce, but full of hope for a new, progressive direction. One of the strong candidates, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, SpP, MARS, is presenting with a grand vision of making ILUNI UI a driving force for national progress by strengthening the role of alumni across generations and sectors.

In her statement, Dewi emphasized that ILUNI UI must be a big home for all alumni, without barriers of background or class. “ILUNI UI must be a big home for all alumni, a place to exchange ideas, grow together, and make real contributions,” she said enthusiastically.

Dewi’s commitment to strengthening ILUNI UI’s strategic role is evident in her idea to build an integrated digital alumni ecosystem. Through the UI Connect platform, she plans to expand connectivity between alumni across regions and fields, to facilitate real collaboration in various national development programs.

“With UI Connect, we want to create an inclusive space for participation, bringing together big ideas and a strong network of alumni across various sectors, from government, business, academia, and the community,” she explained.

Dewi’s idea received a positive response from various groups, including the Secretary General of ILUNI UI, Ahmad Fitrianto. He emphasized that going forward, ILUNI UI has a greater responsibility to forge productive synergies at the national level.

“ILUNI UI cannot operate alone. Collaboration with the Indonesian State University Alumni Association (HIMPUNI) and the government is crucial, especially in promoting food self-sufficiency, digital innovation, and improving public welfare,” Ahmad said.

Ahmad hopes that the elected Chairperson will be able to strengthen strategic relations with HIMPUNI and act as a bridge between alumni and the government in various development policies.

On various occasions, Dewi has also demonstrated her concern for national issues, ranging from sustainable development, women’s empowerment, to strengthening character education. She views UI alumni as having a moral and intellectual responsibility to maintain the direction of Indonesia’s development towards the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045.

“UI alumni are spread throughout the country and the world. This is our strength. If united in a spirit of mutual cooperation and real contributions, the UI Alumni Association can become a vital pillar in realizing a just, advanced, and globally competitive Indonesia,” Dewi concluded.

With an inclusive, innovative, and collaboration-based vision, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini offers new hope for the UI Alumni Association. Her leadership is expected to unite the vast potential of UI alumni to play a more active role in national development, making the UI Alumni Association not just a place for nostalgia, but a locomotive of change for Indonesia.
