Close to the Community, Dewi Puspitorini is Well-Equipped to Lead ILUNI 2025-2028
Jakarta – Candidate for Chairperson of ILUNI UI for 2025–2028, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, has expressed her readiness to run in the 2025 General Election of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (Pemila ILUNI), with the primary goal of uniting all potential UI alumni from various generations and faculties. Upholding the spirit of collaboration and sustainability, Dr. Dewi aims to make ILUNI a more solid, relevant, and impactful force for the nation.
“ILUNI must be a shared home that is inclusive, active, and capable of bridging intergenerational collaboration. I believe that with good intentions and shared commitment, we can enable UI alumni to contribute even more to the nation,” said Candidate for Chairperson of ILUNI UI for 2025–2028, Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, who is also known as an academic and advocate for women’s issues and sustainable development.
As an experienced figure in various cross-sector organizations, Dr. Dewi’s campaign tagline is “U&I Together, U and I Become Us,” with the vision of “Building a UI Alumni Association that is united, progressive, inclusive, and has a real impact on alumni, the UI alma mater, and the nation’s progress, toward a Golden Indonesia 2045.”
Support for Dr. Dewi continues to flow from various alumni groups. Many see her as a unifying symbol, able to bridge the idealism of the senior generation with the dynamism and creativity of young UI alumni.
“It’s time for the Alumni Association to become an alumni force that is not only large in number, but also united in its movement.” “We believe Ms. Dewi is capable of bringing new enthusiasm,” said Budi Hartanto, a 1997 alumnus of the UI Faculty of Law, who also supported the candidacy.
The 2025 ILUNI (Direct Election of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association) is scheduled to take place this August, drawing high enthusiasm from various faculties. The election process, which relies on an e-voting system, is expected to achieve broader participation from alumni both at home and abroad.
Through her candidacy, Dr. Dewi affirms her commitment to opening a broad dialogue during the campaign period, absorbing aspirations from all levels of UI alumni, and making the democratic process at ILUNI a model for similar organizations in Indonesia.
Previously, Dr. Dewi was also known for her active involvement in humanitarian activities. This was evident on Ms. Dewi’s Instagram account, @dewi_puspitorini67, which directly visited the Cianjur earthquake disaster site in 2022. Along with her team, Ms. Dewi was present there and provided basic food supplies and health services to disaster victims.
