Inclusive Leadership Drives Dr. Dewi Puspitorini to Win the 2025 ILUNI Election

Jakarta – The 2025 ILUNI UI General Election is a crucial opportunity for alumni to determine the future direction of the organization. One candidate who has captured the spotlight is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, who presents a vision of inclusive and collaborative leadership as a response to the challenges of the times.

Using the tagline “U&I Guyub, U and I become Us,” Dr. Dewi projects ILUNI UI as a united, progressive, and inclusive organization, with tangible contributions to alumni, the alma mater, and the nation, towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.

“ILUNI UI must be a big home for all alumni, a place to exchange ideas, grow together, and make real contributions,” said Dr. Dewi.

She explained that her vision will be realized through five strategic missions: total digitalization of the ILUNI system, strengthening the global alumni network, sustainable empowerment of alumni, especially in welfare and health, contributing to a healthier Indonesia, and empowering women, starting from the UI alumni community.

“UI has shaped my personality and character, and now it’s time for me to give back. I believe the strength of UI alumni lies in collaboration across faculties, generations, and professions,” she added.

Support for Dr. Dewi has come from various parties. The General Chair of the ILUNI Faculty of Medicine, UI, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, described her as a unifying figure capable of bridging differences.

“She has a vision and experience relevant to the needs of today’s alumni organizations,” said Wawan.

He emphasized that inclusive leadership will strengthen togetherness, facilitate innovation, and ensure every alumni feels they have a vital role in the organization.

A similar sentiment was expressed by the Secretary General of ILUNI UI, Ahmad Fitrianto. He believes Dr. Dewi’s ideas align with ILUNI UI’s need to strengthen synergy, both internally and externally. According to Ahmad, the Alumni Association of the Indonesian State Universities (HIMPUNI) needs to strengthen its collaboration with the Indonesian State University Alumni Association (HIMPUNI) and the government to promote food self-sufficiency, digital innovation, and improve public welfare.

“The 2025 Alumni Association of the UI will be held democratically, reflecting the values of openness and participation, in line with the spirit of alumni organization reform,” he said.

This year’s Alumni Association of the UI election is not only a forum for healthy competition, but also a space to strengthen solidarity and pride as part of the UI family. The democratic process demonstrates the organization’s commitment to fostering a culture of constructive participation.

With inclusive leadership that prioritizes collaboration, Dr. Dewi is believed to be able to lead Alumni Association of the UI to become a driving force for alumni contributions to national development. Support for its programs aligns with the government’s agenda to realize Indonesia Emas 2045, making Alumni Association of the UI not only a forum for togetherness but also a strategic partner in national development.
