President Prabowo Emphasizes Equitable Prosperity and Achievements of 299 Days of Government in State Address

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring prosperity is enjoyed equally by all Indonesians. This message was delivered in his State Address at the 2025 Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) at the Nusantara Building, Jakarta, Friday (August 15, 2025), before members of the MPR, DPR, and DPD. The presence of state institution leaders symbolized the importance of synergy in implementing the national development agenda.

“It is not good for the life of the nation if only we are prosperous, while many people live in poverty. We must ensure that all people experience prosperity,” said President Prabowo.

President Prabowo outlined the achievements of the first 299 days of the Prabowo-Gibran administration, including economic growth in the second quarter of 2025, which reached 5.12 percent. The investment rate in the first half of 2025 reached IDR 942 trillion, a 13.6 percent increase compared to the same period the previous year. This achievement reflects the business world’s confidence in the stability of the national economy.

“This increase in investment can absorb up to 1.2 million workers,” stated President Prabowo.

In the area of poverty alleviation, the government launched the National Socio-Economic Single Data (DTSEN) to ensure that social assistance is properly targeted. Priority programs such as the construction of 100 Public Schools (which will be expanded to 300 units), three million subsidized houses, and the Free Nutritional Meals (MBG) program are already underway. These steps are expected to accelerate improvements in the quality of life of underprivileged communities.

“The Free Nutritional Meals program has been running well. In addition to meeting the nutritional needs of children and mothers, it has also created new jobs in various regions,” said President Prabowo.

The President also highlighted the national food surplus that has enabled Indonesia to resume rice exports. National rice production is in surplus with reserves of over four million tons. This success marks a significant milestone in the history of the national food economy.

“For the first time in 60 years, Indonesia is exporting rice again,” said President Prabowo.

The government has successfully diverted IDR 300 trillion from the official travel budget to programs that benefit the public. This policy reflects budget efficiency and a focus on public needs. This step is considered appropriate for accelerating equitable distribution of prosperity.

“These funds are now being used for programs that truly address the interests of the people,” added President Prabowo.

In foreign policy, Indonesia officially became a member of BRICS and remains consistent in defending Palestine in international forums. This membership expands Indonesia’s role in global cooperation. This stance in defense of Palestine underscores the consistency of Indonesia’s foreign policy.

“We will always be at the forefront of fighting for justice and independence for the Palestinian people,” President Prabowo emphasized.

Concluding his speech, the President invited all elements of the nation to build Indonesia together to achieve the vision of Indonesia Emas 2045. This invitation was conveyed as a message of national unity. All achievements of the 299 days of his administration are considered a strong foundation for the nation’s progress.

“With the unity of all elements of the nation—the government, the business world, and the people—we will build a more just, prosperous, and sovereign Indonesia,” concluded President Prabowo.
