Dewi Puspitorini Promotes Digitalization and Solidarity in the 2025 Alumni Association of the ILUNI UI Election Campaign
Jakarta — The election for Chair of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period is becoming increasingly dynamic with the presence of several candidates. One of those who has attracted attention is Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, a 1987 alumna of the UI Faculty of Medicine, who is running with the idea of digital transformation and strengthening solidarity among alumni.
Dewi, who received number 6 in the contest, introduced the vision of “Building a UI Alumni Association that is united, progressive, inclusive, and has a real impact on alumni, alma mater, and the nation towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.” She summarized this vision through the tagline “U & I Guyub, U and I become Us,” which emphasizes the importance of togetherness as an energy for change.
In her presentation, Dewi assessed the concept of togetherness as not only a symbol of unity, but also a key asset for facing various challenges in the future. Therefore, she encouraged the use of technology through the development of the UI Connect platform, which she hopes will become a space for collaboration across generations and professions.
Support for Dewi came from several alumni figures. The General Chair of the Alumni Association (ILUNI) of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (UI), Dr. Wawan Mulyawan, assessed that Dewi’s track record demonstrated a significant capacity to unite diverse alumni. He assessed Dewi as having a clear vision and the ability to embrace various generations.
To date, Dewi has experience leading various alumni organizations. She has served as General Secretary and Deputy General Chair of ILUNI FKUI, General Secretary of FIAKSI, and Chair of IKAMARS UI. Furthermore, her experience as a specialist doctor, former Director of the Health Professionals at RSPAD, and personal physician to the President demonstrates her capability in carrying out mandates with significant responsibilities.
As part of her campaign, Dewi also initiated the “UI Alumni We Care!” event, held at the IASTH Building, Central Jakarta, on August 15, 2025. This event featured a job fair with participation from various industries, an entrepreneurship talk show, an alumni MSME bazaar, and free health check-ups. Musical entertainment was also provided to make the event a space for interaction and sharing benefits, not only for alumni, but also for students and the general public.
Through digitalization initiatives, a track record of leadership, and a commitment to delivering concrete action, Dewi Puspitorini offered a new direction for the UI Alumni Association. She hopes that Indonesia’s largest alumni organization will become an inclusive, competitive, and relevant platform.
