“UI Alumni We Care!” Dewi Puspitorini Offers New Direction for ILUNI UI
Jakarta – Dr. Dewi Puspitorini, Sp.P, MARS, the candidate for Chair of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for the 2025–2028 period, affirmed her commitment to establishing an alumni organization that is inclusive, modern, and impactful. She made this statement during the “UI Alumni We Care!” event at the IASTH Building, Central Jakarta, Friday (8/15/2025).
The event featured a series of programs, including a job fair, entrepreneurship talk show, alumni MSME bazaar, and free health check-ups. According to Dewi, this activity demonstrates that ILUNI UI is not just a place to reconnect, but a platform that can provide direct benefits to alumni, students, and the community.
“Guyub” is not just about togetherness, but also the strength to move forward collectively. UI alumni must demonstrate a real role, not only on campus, but also in society,” said Dewi.
She added that the concept of togetherness promoted through the tagline “U & I Guyub, U and I become Us” must be realized in concrete actions. One such initiative is digital transformation through the UI Connect platform. “Technology must be used to bring people closer, not to limit them. With UI Connect, alumni from around the world can stay connected in one inclusive and dynamic ecosystem,” she explained.
Beyond digitalization, Dewi also emphasized the importance of professional and transparent organizational governance. “ILUNI UI must be an example of a clean, open organization that has a real impact on the nation. Legitimacy is born from consistent accountability,” she emphasized.
She also emphasized the importance of member welfare. She believes that programs such as regular health checks, psychological support, and financial assistance are the foundation for maintaining alumni productivity. “Alumni well-being, both physical and mental, is an investment to strengthen ILUNI UI’s role in the future,” Dewi said.
Deva’s support came from the Chairman of ILUNI UI’s Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Wawan Mulyawan. He views Dewi as a visionary capable of responding to the challenges of the times. “Dewi has a clear vision and real capacity. She can combine professional competence with a collaborative spirit to unite the diverse alumni,” said Wawan.
The election for the ILUNI UI Chairperson is scheduled for August 23–24, 2025, using an e-voting system. This method is expected to increase participation and strengthen the legitimacy of the election results.
With an inclusive vision, digitalization strategy, and concern for the welfare of its members, Dewi Puspitorini is using the momentum of “UI Alumni We Care!” to affirm ILUNI UI’s new direction as an adaptive alumni organization that makes a real contribution to the nation.
